| | AP Research Student Seeks Physicians for Online Survey | | |
For her AP Research class, Anna Cook '26 is seeking doctors who are willing to respond to a brief survey about gender differences when interacting with patients. The estimated time for the survey is 4 minutes. This study aims to better understand how male and female doctors are portrayed in the popular medical drama, Grey's Anatomy, and how those differences relate to practicing physicians. The survey will focus on everyday interactions, such as asking and answering patient questions, using verbal/nonverbal empathy, eye contact, and other interpersonal actions, and how they compare to those portrayed in Grey's Anatomy. The survey is available at this link. Thank you in advance for your participation.

| | Students May Request Student Peer Tutoring from NHS | | |
Don't forget that if AMHS students need a hand with their studies, they can request help from an NHS peer tutor! The NHS Tutoring Request form is posted on the school website under students/National Honor Society. Or you can view here at this link.
**Please allow 3 to 5 days for AMHS NHS to respond to your tutoring request. We will try to make a pairing as quickly as possible, but submitting a request in advance gives us ample time to fulfill the request properly. For example, if you have a test on a Thursday, notify us by Monday or sooner that you would like to schedule a tutoring session. If you have a test on Monday, notify us by Wednesday of the previous week or sooner**

Principal Perlmutter has shared the following announcement:
As part of our ongoing commitment to school safety, we will conduct a scheduled lockdown drill (also known as an armed intruder drill) on Thursday, January 29. This drill will allow students and staff to practice safety procedures and will incorporate alerts from our newly installed Centegix Security System. We appreciate your support as we continue to prioritize the safety and preparedness of our school community.
Additional efforts to maintain a safe and secure campus include CCSD's random weapons screenings. Linked here is the list of items which CCSD prohibits students from possessing on campus; if found during random weapons screenings, these items will be confiscated and disciplinary action will be taken per the CCSD Student Code of Conduct.
