District Update from Dr. Wagner
Dear Fairview families,

As you are likely aware, Ohio has made school personnel a priority for the COVID-19 vaccine to reduce the risk of exposure in schools for our educators, staff and students. The Ohio Department of Health is in the process of rolling out the school vaccination program in partnership with the state’s educational service centers and numerous providers. As you can imagine, this process will take some time to complete throughout the state and different counties will be completed at different times. We are waiting to hear from ODH and the ESC of Northeast Ohio on an updated timeline for our district, as well as additional details about vaccination clinic(s) for our staff with the providers assigned by the state.
We appreciate that Governor DeWine has made our educators a priority so that we can get our students back to school full time as soon as possible.  I will provide another update as soon as we get more information (which could be as early as tomorrow.)  The timeline for vaccinating our staff is a key factor in our ability to safely return students to school full time. Hence, we will continue in “hybrid” mode until we get clarification on our vaccine schedule.  That will give us a better picture of a possible timeline for shifting to “all-in”.  We are SO close to getting back to a more “normal” school schedule and don’t want to “trip at the finish line”.

I understand that staying in hybrid mode can create all kinds of challenges for many of our families.  Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything we can do to help you.  We are so blessed and fortunate to have such extremely talented teachers, support staff, and administrators who are determined to make the best of this situation.     Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

Stay safe, be well, and keep smiling.
