Small Teaching: Everyday Lessons from the Science of Learning by James Lang and will meet on Thursdays, Noon–1:00 p.m., on January 30, February 20, and March 19. In
Small Teaching, James Lang presents a strategy for improving student learning with a series of modest but powerful changes that make a big difference—many of which can be put into practice in a single class period. These strategies are designed to bridge the chasm between primary research and the classroom environment in a way that can be implemented by any faculty in any discipline, and even integrated into pre-existing teaching techniques. Books will be provided. Limited spots are available.
Register.
(4) New IHP Leadership Search Toolkit is now available on the HR Intranet (Faculty & Staff)
From Jennifer Burke, Office of Human Resources
We are excited to share that we have developed a new leadership search toolkit that is now available on the
HR Intranet in the Hiring Process section. This toolkit is meant to provide leadership search committee members, search support staff, and hiring managers with search best practices and an overview of the IHP leadership search process and the role each person on the search committee plays in that process. Samples of different parts of the search process (ex. job posting announcements and flyers, search committee meeting agendas, feedback forms, candidate communications, etc…) are also included to make it easier for search committees to facilitate a successful IHP leadership search. As you navigate this tool, if there are additional resources you’d like to see us add, please
email Ali Davis.
