(1) Commencement Student Speaker Application and Information Session (Institute Wide)

Applications are due by Monday, February 10 for student speaker at the MGH Institute’s 2020 Commencement Ceremony. One graduating student will be selected to deliver a short speech on behalf of all 2020 graduates.  View more information and apply.

Learn about the requirements, timeline, and selection criteria on Wednesday, January 15 (optional info session) at Noon in Building 39, Room 150. If you cannot make it in person, join the meeting via Zoom.

(2) TRIO Alumni Survey (Institute Wide)

The Council for Opportunity in Education is launching a yearlong “Faces of TRIO” campaign to collect stories from TRIO alumni to share on social media, in an effort to raise awareness of the effectiveness of TRIO programs. Boston University’s Associate Provost for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion invites faculty members in Boston-area schools to attend a reception on Monday, January 27, 5:00–7:00 p.m. The purpose of this reception is to catalyze important connections and community among faculty among historically underrepresented in the academy. Pauline Fiorello won a Family Admission Pass to Old Sturbridge Village, which includes free one-time general daytime admission for two adults and two youth. All proceeds from the drawing, which occurs each workday throughout January, will go toward supporting the Center for Youth Wellness at Harvard-Kent Elementary School. Contact Joanna Duggan in the President’s Office to purchase tickets, and check out the calendar of prizes.
