“The Eucharist is the sacrament of love: It signifies love, it produces love. The Eucharist is the consummation of the whole spiritual life.” St. Thomas Aquinas
Dear Parents,
We hope you had a joyful holiday season. It has been a busy and exciting start to the second semester, and we’re thrilled to share what’s happening in our community.
This month, our Friend for the Journey is St. Thomas Aquinas. He lived in Italy from 1226–1274 and was a Dominican preacher and Doctor of the Church. His feast day is celebrated on January 28.
St. Thomas Aquinas wrote beautiful hymns about the Eucharist, including O Salutaris Hostia, which we sing during Adoration. He is also known for his profound writings on the Catholic faith, especially his final work, The Summa Theologiae.
Did you know? St. Thomas was friends with St. Bonaventure, who is also a Doctor of the Church!

God Bless,
