Dear Parents,

Happy New Year! As the new semester starts, the students and teachers have been reviewing expectations throughout campus. All the student expectations are geared to helping our students grow in virtue one choice at a time. All the behavior expectations are centered around growing in virtues of responsibility, respect, kindness, and self-control.

Report cards will be sent electronically tomorrow, and the second round of MAP testing is scheduled to begin next week. Please see the information from your child’s teacher regarding the scheduled dates for MAP testing. Students are encouraged to get plenty of sleep and eat breakfast before the MAP test.

Mass on Thursday, January 16th will be hosted by Mr. Segura's 5th grade Religion class. Please consider volunteering to help with set-up before Mass or take down after Mass.

Altar Server Training

Altar Server training is scheduled for Monday, January 13th at 3:45. Ms. Lindauer will pick up the students from the gym and walk them to St. Vincent de Paul. The training ends at 4:45pm. Parents can pick up their student from the church at this time.

Tax Statements for 2024

2024 tax statements will be mailed or emailed on January 31, 2025 to all families whose cumulative giving was $250 or more, unless otherwise requested. Please contact Yenny Soto at ysoto@holyfamilycs.org with any questions that you may have.

Lost and Found 

Unfortunately, there are several items in our Lost and Found. Please stop by the office in the Grace building to see if your child is missing anything.

The items are displayed on a cart and will remain there until Friday, January 17th. After that time, the non-uniform items will be taken to Goodwill. The uniform items from FlynnO'Hara will be donated to the Angel Boutique.

2025 Texas Catholic Pro-Life Day 

Saturday, January 25, 2025

Please make plans to join the Angels 4 Life club for this important day! We will be joining students from St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School on their bus. The bus will leave at 8:30 am and return at about 5:00 pm. All are welcome to join us, but students who are not members of Angels 4 Life must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Food for the Journey T-shirt

Orders are being accepted for the all new limited edition t-shirt, featuring the winning art work of Katherine McMurray.

This year, Food for the Journey Eucharistic miracles refer to extraordinary events where the consecrated host during the Holy Communion visibly transforms or exhibits miraculous signs. These miracles serve as powerful reminders of the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

Orders will be accepted until January 31, 2025. Youth shirts are $20 and adult sizes range from $25 to $32. Families will be billed through FACTS. Delivery will be made to the school.

2025-2026 Tuition Assistance Applications

Open January 7, 2025

Tuition Assistance information, application and directions are available on the Holy Family website at 

https://www.holyfamilycs.org/admission/financial.cfm.

The FACTS Grant & Aid Application can also be accessed through your Family Portal account by clicking on the financial tab option, then Financial Links.

Please note only families who complete the Tuition Assistance Application through FACTS Grant & Aid will be considered for an award. To meet the first round of awards, the deadline to apply for tuition assistance is February 21, 2025. Even if you were awarded tuition assistance last year you still must reapply for the 2025-2026 school year. Every student is reassessed annually based on current qualifications and your FACTS account must be in good standing.

Tuition Assistance Award notifications will be sent by end of March. If you have any questions, contact Lan Nguyen at lnguyen@holyfamilycs.org.

Sibling Applications for 2025-2026

If your family has a sibling applying for admission for the 2025-2026 school year, applications will be available online on November 1, 2024. You may click here to access the Online Application and forms. Please be sure to read the Application Checklist thoroughly. You can submit items individually, but to be considered in the first round of admissions, your child's file must be complete with all checklist items submitted (teacher reference, birth certificate etc.) and the application fee has been paid by Saturday, February 1, 2025. 

Screenings for applicants will be conducted in January and February.

Prospective Parent Information Sessions

It’s time for HFCS to take over the H-E-B Center at our Austin Spurs Spirit Night! Come for a fun night of basketball while hearing our choir sing the National Anthem and cheering on our cheerleaders at halftime! It’ll be a night you won’t want to miss!

UK Soccer School: Soccer and Multi-sports clubs

Holy Family is delighted to be partnering with UK Soccer School again this Spring to offer soccer and multi-sports after school clubs at Holy Family. This is a fantastic opportunity for children in grades PK - 5th grade to take part in a fun, enriching after school sports program.

The program will take place directly after school on the Holy Family campus and will run from 3:30pm – 4:30pm. 

Coaches will meet the participants in the gym and take them for the session so parents do not need to do anything until pick up. We also work with after school care if participants need to be taken.  

PK/K will focus on soccer and for 1st – 5th grade the multi-sports clubs will give children an opportunity to take part in a selection of sports including soccer, handball, baseball, multi-skills activities and much more.

1st/2nd - Dates: Tuesday 1/28 - Tuesday 5/13 (Multi-Sports)

UK Soccer School: Soccer Development League

Ages 4 - 11 (split into individual age groups)

Start Date: Monday Feb 10th

Registration Deadline: January 14th (regular pricing) Jan 30th (late pricing)

Our player development league offers an exciting opportunity for participants to engage in soccer games during the fall and spring seasons. With a focus on creating a balanced and enjoyable experience, the league provides 8 weekend games and 10 weeks of practices. Each team will have a qualified coach, and practices will be at Williamson County Regional Park on Monday evenings with games on Saturday mornings.
