“Back to Basics” - Healthcare 101 for Individuals with IDD

This webinar series will provide an overview of healthcare for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with topics that include accessing preventive care, treatment options, visiting providers, oral health and dental care, dual diagnosis co-occurring mental health problems in individuals with IDD, and care for aging individuals.

Please join us on April 16th, May 28th, and June 25th from 12:00pm - 1:30pm for each upcoming installment in this exciting series.

Oral Health and Dental Care

This webinar will cover the importance of oral health and dental hygiene for individuals with IDD, and include topics such as difficulties with finding providers, the need for specialized treatment and services, higher rates of poor oral hygiene and periodontal disease, and the importance of proper dental hygiene and scheduled tooth cleanings.
