2026 Metropolis of Boston Scholarship Program
The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston is pleased to announce scholarship opportunities for the 2026–2027 academic year.
These scholarships are available to U.S. and Canadian students of Greek descent or of the Greek Orthodox Faith who will be entering their second, third, or fourth year of undergraduate study.
Scholarship Awards
Scholarships are made possible through the generosity of the following endowments:
- Charles C. Condes Trust of Illinois
- Five (5) one-time scholarships of $8,000
- St. George’s Hellenic Benefit Society of Tsamantas (Worcester, MA)
- Three (3) one-time scholarships of $7,500
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled full-time in a 2- or 4-year undergraduate program
- Attend an accredited college or university in the U.S. or Canada
- Be of Greek descent or of the Greek Orthodox Faith
All eligible students are encouraged to apply.
Application Timeline
- Applications Open: February 28, 2026
- Application Deadline: March 31, 2026
- Notification of Awards: May 2026
Recognition
Scholarship recipients will be honored by His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios at the Metropolis Ministry Awards Banquet on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
About the Scholarships
The Charles C. Condes Memorial Scholarships honor a lifelong philanthropist and advocate for education who took great pride in supporting future generations of Hellenism and Orthodoxy.
The St. George’s Hellenic Benefit Society of Tsamantas Scholarships commemorate the legacy of the early Tsamantas immigrants of Worcester, MA, and honor distinguished benefactors including Stavros Bellos and Arthur Athanasiou.
