ONE YEAR TO SAVE THE WORLD |

We are now less than one year out from the midterm elections that will decide the fate of our democracy itself. History whispers that in 2022, we will lose control of the Senate and House. But we make our own history.
We broke records with the 2018 Blue Wave that took back the House.
We bucked the odds when we kicked Trump to the curb in 2020.
And last January, we stunned the world with the miracle of electing two Democratic senators in the Georgia runoffs – granting us the barest of majorities – tearing the gavel from Mitch McConnell’s claws.
Thanks to that miracle, we were able to pass massive Covid relief. And without those two Georgians in the Senate, we could not even be fighting for game-changing bills on infrastructure, voting rights, and so much more.
It is thanks to the Georgia Miracle that we have our map to victory in the midterms – hands on hearts as we thank Stacey Abrams, Nse Ufot, and generations of voters and organizers of color who led the way.
To win in 2022, we must replicate the Georgia miracle nationwide. We must raise societal awareness and activism levels to such a threshold that they warp the fabric of space-time. If we do that, if we register and galvanize enough Democrats in enough swing states, we will save our Senate and House majorities.
Remember January 6, when we witnessed America’s best and worst on the same split screen? On the left, Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff’s victory news rolled in. On the right, shrieking crowds wielding Trump flags stormed the Capitol. This is the choice we are making in the midterms, between these two Americas.
Your activism is what turns our best dreams into reality, with every voter drive, postcard, text, call, and tweet. 362 days left… That's 362 chances to save the world. How many will you use?

RIGHTEOUS RECAP!
Monday’s briefing was attended by 168 of you: enthusiastic first-timers, seasoned volunteers, and mighty organizers from at least 20 different states, with a combined total of centuries of experience in activism. The Zoom crackled with your energy.
Felicia Moore, the incredible frontrunner in the Atlanta mayoral race, kicked us off with an inspiring message about the singular importance of registering Democrats in Georgia and other swing states. Our hyper-talented volunteer trainers gave us progress updates and presented our tantalizing menu of volunteer opportunities.
We unveiled exciting pilot projects we're developing behind the scenes, from Voter Registration Canvassing, to free BYOP Texting, to Voter Drive in A Box Box – where we’ll be sending a box of clipboards, forms, pens, pins, stickers, and more to anyone who signs up to lead their first voter drive!
And then it was time to roll out our 3 Phase Strategy for saving the Senate and House, and winning down-ballot, in the all-important 2022 midterms. Here are the broad outlines:
• First, we raise awareness of urgency and agency. Everything is at stake, and your vote can save the world.
• Next, we harness the primaries to register hordes of new Democrats.
• Finally, we launch massive text banks, flood campuses with voter drives in the final months, and finish with a 9-state GOTV push coordinated with our partners on the ground.

Wisconsin's 2022 election is critical for so many reasons. We must oust the awful Senator Ron Johnson, and we must protect Democratic Governor Tony Evers. There's even three seats on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals up for re-election, and we know how important the courts are to beating back anti-voter laws. Voting now is really a case of "use it or lose it," so we've got to register every Democrat we can.

In Georgia's 2022 election, we must re-elect Senator Raphael Warnock in order to save our Democratic Senate majority. And we've also got to boot Governor Brian Kemp who, as Secretary of State in 2018, officiated over his own election, purged voter rolls, and brazenly stole the governorship from Democratic champion Stacey Abrams. Time to send him packing!

We're texting Wisconsin in honor of our recent Blue Cheese event with Ben Wikler and the yeoman's work he's doing there in the fight against the GOP's naked anti-democracy shenanigans. Each candidate – and Field Team 6 Founder Jason Berlin – will host their own segment of Jeopardy. It's a multicultural holiday mixer with Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa performers, plus a White Elephant gift exchange, raffle prizes, and an upside down Christmas tree you can help decorate. This week we’re shouting out Jo Ann Bollen, an intrepid leader of the Field Team 6 CA-08 Chapter, our in-person voter drive trainer for California, and a volunteer who generally gets it done. When we needed to purchase our own voter data for the CA-08 postcarding campaign, she raised the money to make it happen.
But it took some time to learn her activist chops. During the early Trump years, Jo Ann was very engaged but struggled to get any traction with registration events sitting behind a table. “My team and I tabled for quite a while and we became very frustrated by our lack of results. I don't remember how I found Field Team 6, but Jason and FT6 changed our volunteer lives!”
When they started using the clipboard, liberal greeting, and hot spot technique, that’s when things improved dramatically. “We averaged over 30 Democratic/NPP registrations per 2-hour drive versus practically zero while tabling. We started a CA-08 Field Team 6 Chapter...”
When Covid hit, she pivoted to online activism, phone and text banking, plus postcarding. “Recently, Jason asked if I would be interested in doing the Zoom in-person voter registration trainings for CA, and I've really enjoyed doing those. Even if it's only one person attending, it's always rewarding.” By the way, that one person went on to register 54 Democrats in her next voter drive!
Jo Ann’s got a few dreams for the future: “Flip CA-08 Blue, purge CA of 7 seditious MOCs, protect voting rights in this country, and work to get universal healthcare for CA and the USA.” Plus, she’s excited because in-person registrations are starting again. “We have yet to get back to pre-pandemic numbers, but we've only gone out once so far. I have no doubt we'll get there!”
We definitely will, Jo Ann, thanks to your dedication, enthusiasm, and infectious can-do spirit! You're the best!!
