Through My Lens

October 2019

We all look at life through our own lens

Fall is here, school has started, mothers are busy, students are stressed, friends are sick and on and on it goes. Needless to say, we all have many rocks in our backpack of life that only we can do. However, when the heavy boulders of life roll in, we need each other to lean on.
I am grateful for those who are there during the best of times as well as the more challenging times and I am sure you are too.
May your backpack be light and your boulders be small.

Rocks and Boulders

Rocks and Boulders

My backpack is full with many rocks

Of things only I must do.

Responsibilities that belong to me

Things I can't dump on you.

A boulder, on the other hand,

When it is thrown into my life

I need help and prayer from family and friends

For this bolder creates great strife.

The rocks are mine and mine alone

But I need others when the boulders roll in.

The boulders are hard and crushes my spirit

So only with friends and prayer can I win.

So the rocks I'll handle all  by myself

But when the boulders roll in I need you.

It's not if but when these boulders move in

Then you will need friends and many prayers too.
