The CobraHead Newsletter
Happy November! Over the past week, your email inbox has likely been inundated with companies offering hefty Black Friday or Cyber Monday shopping discounts. While we can't match the steep markdowns that bigger businesses can, we are happy to offer our newsletter subscribers 10% off all purchases from CobraHead.com when you use the code CH2023 during checkout.

We also recognize there's a limit to how many CobraHead tools any given household needs. If you're all stocked up on our products but still want to support us, please tell a friend about us! We can't stress enough how much word-of-mouth means to a small business like ours. Forwarding this email to a friend, sharing about us on social media, or having a chat with the neighbor you saw trying to dig up weeds with a butter knife can make a world of difference to us.

Read on below for what we've been up to in the garden, in the kitchen, and in the gardening community!

Don't forget to enter our monthly giveaway (just reply to this email and request to be entered). As always, feel free to leave us any additional comments when you do!

Do you like mushrooms? Do you like gravy? Judy's vegetarian mushroom gravy is another family favorite that we love this time of year. We often use our own homegrown shiitakes (seen here), but you can always substitute or mix and match mushroom varieties based on what's available.

Noel considers his fall garlic planting one of the most important parts of the whole garden scheme. If it doesn't get done, we put next year's kitchen in jeopardy. Fortunately, things worked out and we're on our way to another good garden, next year.

The KidsGardening.org Youth Garden Grant application period is now open through December 15! In early 2024, fifty organizations will be awarded $500 in funding and a collection of gardening supplies for their youth garden program.

Andy's Photo Corner
I love trees and I love fall, so I’m sharing more autumn color photos this month. Unsurprisingly, I took a lot of fall foliage photos. These specific photos are all of nearby places and were taken during the week of November 1. However, there is an additional theme to this batch: photos where the subject matter is backlit by filtered sunlight.

For daytime photos on sunny days, the photo subject can either have sun shining on it, be backlit by sun, or it can be in shadow.
I love the bright light, bright colors, and crisp shape outlines produced by shooting pictures of sun-filtered trees, in any season. Please enjoy some more autumnal, midwestern beauty, backlit by radiant sunlight!

-Andy

This month three lucky readers will win a CobraHead Original and a CobraHead Mini - a value of $52.90.

As usual, all you have to do to enter is to reply to this email and request to be entered into the drawing. If you want to leave any additional comments for us, we love to read them.

We'll do a random drawing of all responses received by Sunday, November 28th.
