March in Wisconsin is such a promising and frustrating month. We think we're supposed to get Spring weather, and then we get 12 inches of snow in a single day. (Yes, that happened last week.) And yet, today it was 60 degrees! Are we done with snowfall for the year? Only Mother Nature knows. While we can't do much planting outside yet, Noel's indoor starts are well on their way, as you'll see below.

Great news! We're offering our newsletter subscribers a discount for the next two weeks. Use the code SPRING23 during checkout to receive 10% off your order. This code is valid through 4/15/2023.

Don't forget to enter our monthly giveaway (just reply to this email and request to be entered). As always, feel free to leave us any additional comments when you do!

It's nearly asparagus season in our neck of the woods, so that means it's time to share an asparagus recipe! Here's a throwback from 2012 of Judy's Asparagus Cheddar Cheese Scones. Enjoy!

There is not much going on in the garden, right now, The ground is still frozen. But Noel is working on seed starts. He's got onions and peppers growing with more to follow, soon.

Andy's Photo Corner
Here are a couple of photos I took last fall of the building just two doors down from our Main Street Cambridge, WI office. The "Historic Oxen Run Inn" or "Old Stone House" was built in 1851 and is the oldest building in town. Many southern Wisconsin buildings used this local yellow sandstone for their construction in the mid-19th century. You will find several similarly-colored buildings on the University of Wisconsin campus and downtown near the State Capitol, and this building material features extensively in historic towns like Mineral Point. Longtime Cambridge business The Voyagers Jewelry Design renovated the building shown below in 1986 and again with an addition in 1999. If you stop in their shop, not only will you find a beautiful selection of unique jewelry, but you'll also get to visit with their "staff" of retired racing greyhounds!
