Ancient Temple Console
Rajasthan means "The Land of Kings," with the oldest reference found in a stone inscription dated back to 625 CE.
Parts of Rajasthan were also home to the Vedic and earlier Indus Valley Civilization dating back 5000 years and considered contemporaneous with ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Minoan Crete, and Norte Chico. Going back even further (5,000 – 200,000 years), Stone Age tools were found in the state's Bundi and Bhilwara districts.
Why does all of this matter? Because Rajasthan’s ancient seat is also known for its historic hill forts & palaces. That means the best artisans have lived here for a long, long time. Families of artisans, in fact. Artisans that carved the segments of the mantel before you, segments that were once in a palace.
The net, net, you have 10’ of history; a piece of a royal palace in a region where palaces have existed for millennia. That’s why we do what we do. We love history, craftsmanship, culture. If you have space, you get a whole bunch of the aforementioned, as well as a great place to display your favorite objects.
