Sea Pines CSA Update Following Severe Storm on 9/29

A strong line of storms passed through Hilton Head Island on September 29th. Please continue to use caution when driving or using the leisure trail system throughout the community. Sea Pines CSA crews and contracted service providers will be out on the roadways with a variety of equipment to address primary road debris, tree impacts, and removing large debris from roadways and leisure trails within CSA managed areas. Traffic flagging operations on roadways will be in place as needed.

As a reminder, landscaping companies will need to take debris to the Recycling Debris Facility off of Greenwood Drive (landscape service companies are not permitted to utilize neighborhood pickup sites).

Proposed Sea Pines Special Tax District

During Tuesday’s CSA Board of Directors, the Board voted to pursue the creation of a Special Tax District, or an entity formed at the request of electors to raise revenue to provide services not offered by the county. As part of the Board’s multi-year plan to address critical projects throughout the community, the Sea Pines Special Tax District would generate an expected $3-4 million in annual revenue. All funds raised would belong to the Sea Pines Special Tax District and use will be strictly earmarked for specific capital improvements and infrastructure projects in Sea Pines.

Sea Pines CSA and ASPPPO Annual Meeting proxies were mailed out on 9/23/2020. Please allow 5-7 business days for mail delivery of proxies. To ensure quorum for the annual meeting, please return your proxy(ies) postmarked by 10/14/20.

Sea Pines CSA Community Blood Drive
The OneBlood Blood Drive Mobile will be in Sea Pines on Friday, October 16, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Sea Pines Community Center Parking Lot, 71 Lighthouse Road

All donors will receive a OneBlood Halloween T-shirt and a wellness checkup including COVID-19 antibody test, blood pressure, temperature, iron count, pulse and cholesterol screening.

Upcoming Sea Pines CSA Maintenance Projects

Governors Road Drainage Cleaning 
  • Drainage cleaning on Governors Road will take place the week of October 5th, weather permitting 
  • Flag persons, advisory signs and other safety devices will be used in the work zones, drivers are asked to proceed with caution

Sea Pines CSA Mosquito Treatment
  • Out next mosquito treatment will take place on Monday, October 5th during overnight hours, weather permitting.
