Together, We Raised Awareness and Broke Records at NAMIWalks NH 2026!

Thank you for joining us for another amazing NAMIWalks New Hampshire! Because of you – our inspiring Walkers, generous and steadfast sponsors and donors, dedicated volunteers, and our entire NAMI NH Family – we are looking at another record-breaking year!

Over 2,000 Walkers across 159 teams joined us, and collectively we've raised over $252,000 and counting!

We are so close to reaching our $300,000 goal! Every dollar stays here in NH and helps us provide free support, education, and advocacy for all Granite Staters affected by mental illness and suicide. Fundraising is open through 11/30/26. We are grateful for your support!

NAMIWalks NH was the perfect kickoff to Mental Illness Awareness Week (10/4 – 10/10)!

Thank you to Governor Ayotte for officially proclaiming MIAW in the Granite State – to shine a light on mental illness and suicide, fight stigma, provide support, educate the public, and advocate for care.

Stay tuned for photos from Anthony Riso Photography - coming soon!

Advocacy

NAMI NH is Nonpartisan – Like mental illness and suicide, NAMI New Hampshire is nonpartisan. We support policies that help people with mental health conditions and their families, and collaborate with stakeholders on shared goals to improve the lives of individuals affected by mental illness and suicide.

NAMI NH joins NAMI National in commending the restoration of the “Press 3” option for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline – connecting LGBTQ+ youth and young adults with specialized support. We are profoundly grateful for our grassroots advocates who continue to resolutely demand crisis support for all.

If you or someone you know needs immediate support, you can connect confidentially with a trained crisis worker 24/7 by calling or texting 988, or online at 988lifeline.org.

Urge Congress to Support the 988 Implementation Act

988 is already saving lives and making an impact across our communities, but there’s more work to be done. Bipartisan members of Congress came together to reintroduce legislation that will help expand crisis services, so people get the crisis care they need.

Yesterday, children and adults were boarding in emergency departments for inpatient psychiatric beds – adults under an Involuntary Emergency Admission and with other legal status. adult was waiting in a correctional facility for inpatient psychiatric care. Click here for Emergency Department Boarding Resources and to find support for families with a child waiting in the ED.

Our October Volunteer of the Month is Jeff White!

What makes Jeff truly stand out is the profound warmth and selflessness he brings to everything he does. Having lost his son to suicide, Jeff chose to show up for others in the most meaningful ways—guiding individuals through grief as a support group volunteer, shaping our mission as a board member, and driving crucial resources as a top fundraiser for NAMIWalks New Hampshire. His constant, grounded presence changes lives.

With National Estate Planning Awareness Week coming up October 19–25, it’s a great time to check in on your financial well-being. Taking care of the people we love can look like many things, but one of the most important is simply making sure we have a plan for the future. It’s a small step that brings a lot of peace of mind.

NAMI New Hampshire is dedicated to building a future filled with hope, help, and healing for everyone affected by mental illness and suicide. Part of that care is making sure you’re looked after, too. In just a few easy steps, you can:
