From a Trout Stream to the Factory Floor

Pretred's founders were fly fishing, and kept running into old tires and plastic dumped along the water. Instead of just being annoyed, they asked a simple question: what can we do about this?

Pretred turns end-of-life tires into roadway safety barriers, opening its first manufacturing facility in Aurora in 2022. Earlier this year, it grew into a new 152,000-square-foot plant in northeast Aurora, where it turns end-of-life tires into roadway safety barriers.

Tour requirements: Everyone on the tour must sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before going onto the production floor, and closed-toed shoes are required. If you'd rather skip the tour, you're still welcome at the meeting.
