Homecoming Comedian Fumi Abe
Homecoming is October 25-28th. Japanese-American stand-up comedian Fumi Abe, will sling jokes about being a millennial, family and more beginning at 9 pm in the Lane University Center Atkinson Room on October 27. No tickets necessary.

Civic Engagement Award
Lisa Clark of New Market, Md., director of the A STAR! AmeriCorps program at Frostburg State University, was recently selected as the winner of Campus Compact Mid-Atlantic’s Civic Engagement Award for 2018.

“Lisa Clark has served as an exemplary staff member, managing FSU’s AmeriCorps program for over 24 years,” said Bill Mandicott, assistant vice president of Student and Community Involvement at FSU. “For Maryland’s four westernmost counties, Lisa serves as a catalyst for bringing people, organizations and neighborhoods together to work toward collaborative solutions to the many challenges facing our 21st-century communities.” > Read more

Help clean up Frostburg
25 th  Annual Big Event
Sunday, October 28, 2018

Lane University Center Main Lobby
SGA sponsors an annual Frostburg City Clean-Up event on the Sunday of Homecoming Weekend. Teams will meet in the Lane University Center and proceed to assigned city streets with trash bags to provide a valuable service to the city of Frostburg.  Two prizes will be awarded to the organizations having the most members participate. Organizations with 20 or more members will be eligible for the large organization prize of $50 and those with 19 members or less will be eligible for the small organization prize of $50.   While the competition prizes are for recognized student organizations who participate, SGA welcomes and encourages any FSU student to participate!  

Registration for The Big Event is recommended but not required. You may register by emailing Kathi Perkins .
Lane University Center
Main Stage Series  brings national and international artists to the stage who perform multiple genres of music, theatre and dance in traditional theatrical venues. Student tickets range from $5-10.
StarScape artists dazzle audiences in a lively club-style atmosphere with intimate table seating. Food available for purchase and cash bar. Student tickets $5 reserved seating or free at the door.
On the Edge performers stretch the boundaries of their art. Lounge in our laid-back club with free table snacks and a cash bar. Student tickets $3 general admission seating or free at the door.
FSU students interested in attending  CES performances may purchase tickets at the Lane University Center Box Office, Monday – Friday, 10 AM – 4 PM. Unsold seats are FREE to FSU students 1 hour prior to CES events. Follow  CES at Frostburg State University  Facebook for announcements. FSU student ID is required to take advantage of student pricing.
