COURSE DETAILS

CE CREDIT REQUIREMENTS

Continuing education credits are required for each biennial period, which runs from April 1 through March 31 of odd-numbered years. At least 50% must be completed in person, and a maximum of 50% may be completed through online or self-study.

Dentist: 30 hours

Dental Hygienist: 20 hours

EFDA: 10 hours

CPR CERTIFICATION

Certified by the American Red Cross, this lecture and hands-on curriculum will include modules on recognizing emergencies and response tactics along with adult, child and infant CPR, AED and obstructed airway techniques.

You must be registered in advance. No walk-ins as we cannot guarantee space. Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email with details. You must arrive 15 minutes prior to class time. There are no refunds or credit issued for late arrivals or no shows. Upon registration, we cannot issue a refund or credit as this time has been reserved for you. ALMOST FULL!

MANDATORY COURSES:

CHILD ABUSE & PAIN MANAGEMENT

As a condition of biennial renewal, all health-related licensees are required to complete two hours of Board-approved training in child abuse recognition and reporting. In addition, licensees who are authorized to prescribe or dispense medications must complete at least two hours of Board-approved training in pain management, the identification of addiction, or the practices of prescribing or dispensing opioids. For PA dental license holders, these must be completed between April 2025 - March 2027.
