CAPPS

1st Place Spirit Wear

This prayer will be prayed together as a team before all home games.

God our Father,

You have created us for greatness on and off the playing field/court/course.

Grant to all of our Holy Family athletes, our opponents, the coaches, officials and fans

the courage to pursue virtue during our game.

We pray for the safety of these athletes, protect them from injury and harm.

And finally, we pray for your Grace, that you would grant us the fortitude and perseverance to play in a Christ-Like manner.

Holy, Mary, Morther of God, pray for us.

St. Joseph, Guardian of the Holy Family, pray for us.

Amen

Volleyball

Congratulations to our 5/6 4A team rocking the season with a 3-0 record so far. Our 7/8 6A is not far behind, ranking well in their division at 3-1.

Good luck to the 7/8 6A and 5/6 6A Volleyball Teams as they battle in the Ranger Spike Out Tournament this weekend!

Flag Football

5/6 6A Flag Football is starting off the season hot with a 3-1 winning streak.

The 4A team is showing their skills with some close games and a 1-3 record.

ANGEL INVITATIONAL never disappoints!

This was a record year for our Angel Invitational with 31 schools and over 460 runners. Our volunteers stepped it up a notch and we were great hosts to these schools. This is always such a great community event with our cheerleaders out in full force and our runners raising the bar each and every year. Congratulations to Nathaniel Willet for beating the 5/6 boys record by over 30s. Our Angels had multitudes of PR's and season bests. Thank you for supporting our "Angels for Life" group that raised over $700 in the concession stand.

  • Lucy Lopez-Montejo - for a beautiful job of singing the national anthem

Eligibility

If a player’s grades (Progress Reports and/or Report Card) fall below a 70 or he/she receives a “U” in conduct in any subject including specials, the student will not be allowed to attend games or scrimmages until the next progress report or report card shows improvement above a 70 or an “N” or better in conduct. The student may participate in practices on campus.

On the date the student becomes eligible again, he/she may resume his/her position as a team player. This information is listed in the student’s progress report. At the next eligible period, the student must have 70 averages in all subject areas and may not receive a U conduct grade on a report card or progress report. Students who continue to earn below 70 in any subject become ineligible. Eligibility is determined at progress report and report card time.

If a student becomes ineligible for participation in student activities at progress report or report card time, he/she will not be eligible until the next reporting time. (Diocesan Policy 307)

Example

Academic QTR

  • 3-week progress report - warning, regain eligibility from previous report card
  • 6-week progress report - failing grade - no participation in games/scrimmages, may participate in practices.
  • Report Card - failing grade or "U" in conduct - ineligible. They can regain eligibility at 3-week mark, if passing or conduct grade improves.

Volunteers

We cannot run this athletics program without your help. We need EIM volunteers for a lot of our practices and each HOME volleyball game requires 3 volunteers (1 Scoreboard, 1 Book and 1 line judge). Please let your coach know if you can help. We are happy to show you how to do it!
