VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Annual Health Screenings - Volunteers Needed

Health Screening is around the corner and the health committee needs volunteers!

Health Screenings are October 15th and 16th. We are still in need of spinal, vision, and hearing screeners as well as chaperones. Please sign up here: Sign Up Genius.

Screeners will require EIM and training with the state, except for MDs, who are exempt. We also need "kid wranglers" to assist with student movement and chaperoning (EIM only).

To volunteer as a screener, please register for a class using the instructions below:

1.      Visit the Region 13 E-Campus page (Region 13 E-Campus). If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one.

2.      Once logged in, search for the required class using keywords like “VISION,” “HEARING,” or “SPINAL.”

3.      Select either the Certification or Recertification class based on your current status. Certification is valid through the calendar year in which it expires.

Note: Classes are free, and multiple options are available until mid-October.

For questions, contact Willem Strittmatter at willem.strittmatter@gmail.com.

It’s the first week of the month and that means we need your help! Staff Appreciation will be restocking break rooms for our resident superheroes (the teachers!!). Please sign up here and pick up some goodies on your next grocery run.

Book Fair Volunteer Training will be held Thursday, October 24th at 8:00 am in the library. Training will be less than 30 minutes. Anyone planning to volunteer during the Book Fair is encouraged to attend. All EIM compliant volunteers are welcome to volunteer in the Library for Book Fair Week.

Please reach out to Susan Hennessy or Megan Mason with any questions at hfcslibrary@gmail.com.
