Dear Saint Helena Families,
What a wonderful Walkathon we had this year! The weather was perfect, the walk was filled with fun and excitement, and the donuts and treats at the finish line were delicious! This successful event would not have been possible without the tremendous hard work and dedication of our Home and School Association and the generous participation of our entire school community. Thank you so much for your support and generosity!
We are looking forward to calculating the final Walkathon results on Friday, October 9 at 12:00 p.m. If you would still like to send in a donation, please do so by Friday. Any donations received will be included in the final tally after 12:00 PM on Friday.
I would like to publicly extend my heartfelt thanks to Nina Stabile and Erin Forish, who led this tremendous effort. Their time, energy, and leadership helped make the Walkathon such a great success! A special thank-you also goes to their wonderful team of assistants: Clare Bennett, Katie Tichy, Tricia Baker, Kellianne Whitney, Julie McGrath, and Kim Haug, as well as the many parents who volunteered their time and joined us for the walk. And, of course, a big thank you to our Tiger for helping make the day so special! Finally, we are especially grateful to the Whitpain Township Police Department for helping to keep our children and families safe. They always go above and beyond to care for the students and families of Saint Helena School, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued support.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Walkathon such a wonderful celebration of our school community. We are so grateful for each and every one of you!
I would also like to congratulate the following students for their demonstration of the virtue of perseverance during the month of September.- Leah Palardy, Adolfo Fernandez, Anthony D’Orazio, and Hope Humay.
Perseverance means continuing to try, even when something is difficult, challenging, or takes extra time and effort. Our students have shown perseverance through their consistent dedication, determination, and strong work ethic. They approach classroom activities with focus and a genuine commitment to doing their best. When faced with a difficult assignment or challenge, they do not give up. Instead, they keep working, try again when they make a mistake, ask questions, and seek help when needed. They are willing to double check their work and make corrections because they take pride in doing their very best. Our students have also demonstrated perseverance by staying focused and committed to finishing their work, even when it requires extra time or effort. They push themselves to keep going when the work is tough and understand that mistakes are opportunities to learn and try again. This same determination can be seen beyond the classroom as well. Our students bring their dedication and positive attitudes to extracurricular activities, where they continue to work toward their goals even when things become challenging. Their resilience, determination, positive attitudes, and willingness to keep trying truly embody what it means to persevere. We are so proud of our students for being wonderful examples of perseverance and for showing us that success often comes from simply continuing to try and never giving up!
This past Tuesday, our new student council was installed. Father Joe blessed the pins our student council representatives and officers proudly wear each day. We also listened to a speech prepared by our student council president, Danny Viscanti. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated group of students to lead our school this year.
We are so fortunate to be a part of such a vibrant school community!
Please be sure to read our Blasts each week. I realize there is a lot of information. You do not want to miss anything important and/or fun. Thank you.
