Let me tell you about the incredible collaboration we had with Gallo Mechanical down in the stunning Orange Beach, Florida! While other companies hesitated to take on the challenge, we at Glenn Machine Works rolled up our sleeves and got to work. After months of meticulous planning and re-measuring, we crafted a foolproof solution that would make any engineer proud. Armed with our powerhouse 1650 LTM crane, boasting an impressive 299' of Luffer, a staggering 385,000 lbs of counterweight, and those nifty Y-guys, we were ready to transform an idea into a mission! With just 10 days on the clock, we set out to install some serious units, starting with the tallest tower. We even had to deploy a power-driven gantry system to maneuver one unit into position for the crane to swoop in and do its magic. Can you believe we tackled a towering height of 385' and carefully removed and set four units, each weighing around 19k, at a jaw-dropping radius of 215'? Talk about precision! And guess what? We built that crane, moved it to the next tower, and wrapped everything up in just 7 days! This project was a true testament to our team’s dedication, commitment to safety, and top-notch quality.
