Improve your health with answers

The next time you schedule or register for an appointment, CHA is required to ask you personal questions about your race, ethnicity, language, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity. Answering these questions lets us take better care of you.

You can help speed up scheduling by updating most of your personal information in your MyChart account. Just follow these quick steps. While we hope you’ll provide answers, you can also choose not to answer. Thank you for your patience as CHA works to update all our patient medical records.

When you need state-of-the-art care

CHA is bringing better care to some of our sickest patients. Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at CHA Everett Hospital now has a state-of-the-art Continuous Veno-Venous Hemofiltration system. This treatment is for patients with acute kidney conditions. For patients who struggle with traditional methods, this new treatment allows them to get care in the ICU until they’re able to transition safely to hemodialysis. Getting this treatment at CHA allows patients to be nurtured in a friendly, supportive setting, closer to home.

BEAR with us!

Last year, CHA did its first knee surgery using the revolutionary BEAR procedure, which repairs torn anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL). BEAR, short for Bridge-Enhanced ACL Repair, is a new procedure approved by the FDA in 2020 that uses a special protein-enhanced implant to reconnect the torn ligament. This allows the ligament to grow back on its own!

According to Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon Jason Freedman, MD, who brought the procedure to CHA, “ACL tears are one of the most common knee injuries. The BEAR procedure offers a quicker surgery to restore the body’s own anatomy with less pain and potentially a faster recovery. It allows us to bring state-of-the-art care to our patients at CHA.”
