Brought to you by the LFHS FOUNDATION
Moments from the Minimum Viable Product Pitches March 2022
The 2021-22 school year has been another year of student growth and innovation in the Business Incubator program at Lake Forest High School. This year saw the formation of 15 student teams, guided and mentored by local business leaders. Each team stepped up to the challenge of creating the foundation for its new business with many demonstrating their ability to adapt and pivot their plans in response to feedback and/or unanticipated challenges. The LFHS Foundation is proud to give them a platform to share their ideas with our community in the hopes of attracting investors and raising much needed start-up capital through donations.

In early March, all 15 teams presented minimum viable product (MVP) pitches for our judges. Each team was provided with feedback from our volunteer judges and funding was allocated from the Foundation's Standing MVP Grant for the MVP process. During the next phase of the process, 10 self-selected student teams will make their Academic Pitches to our panel of judges on May 12 during class. At that time the judges will determine which teams will move on to Pitch Night, the ultimate competition for recognition and financial awards. The teams moving on will be announced on May 13 and will participate in Pitch Night on May 20 starting at 7 PM. This year's event will take place in the Raymond Moore Auditorium at LFHS and the entire community is invited to attend. We will also livestream the event. RSVP TODAY FOR UPDATES BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THIS YEAR'S LIVE EVENT.

Investors are always welcome at Pitch Night and we encourage them to connect with teams about possible funding opportunities. We will also have opportunities for community members to donate to specific teams, contributing to their start up costs without an expectation of a return. Finally, we will be providing opportunities for our audience to donate toward the 2023 Pitch Night Prize pool or the LFHS Foundation.
