Summertime…and the livin’ is, frankly, crazy! I tend to imagine summers like this: endless days in a rocking chair, sipping a glass of cold lemonade, life’s pace slowed to a crawl. Ya, I hear you chuckling. Summer is more like overdrive: jamming lots of stuff into “regular” life (working, shopping, cleaning). Add in socializing, boating, beaching, visiting, hosting, gardening (hello, watering & weeding!) and rocking chair/lemonade time goes out the window! It’s all good, as they say, but we can burn out (and I ain’t talking about sunburn…but please, do slather on the sunscreen). Today I overheard someone say, “I wish it were September. I love the hot weather but I’m overwhelmed.” Oh dear, it’s only mid-July.
