A Message From Dr. Jeffrey Tucker

Every Doctor wants his/her patient to adhere to recommendations. I want to influence you to make healthy lifestyle choices (food/diet, exercise, sleep, etc.). If your doctor or coach is giving you general recommendations about what to eat or how to exercise, it’s not a behavior change, it’s

a conversation.

And these conversations aren’t working based on current stats:

  • Up to 40% of patients do not adhere to physician instructions for lifestyle changes.
  • That rises to 70% or more when the advice requires significant lifestyle modification or complex behavior change.
  • 50% of patients do not follow their doctor’s orders even about taking medication.

I will never give up on helping you create positive changes in lifestyle, longevity, exercise, and diet. I am always hopeful that one or two of my recommendations will allow you to change and can make a big difference in extending the quality of your life, getting better sleep, helping reduce being overweight, help get rid of chronic stiffness, and chronic pain.

Let's start this journey of change...together. Call my office at (310)-444-9393 today!

Do This To Help Neuropathy

Symptoms of Neuropathy Include:

  • Inflammation and edema
  • Unprovoked or spontaneous numbness, tingling, or burning that can be constant or fluctuate with activity
  • Excess or prolonged pain after use or contact with the affected limb
  • Stiffness in the joints
  • Impaired muscle strength and movement

These are modalities I recommend to improve neuropathy, create superficial tactile stimulation, and improve blood flow that helps specific neuroreceptors.

1) Balance Training

Gain the postural stability needed to maintain proper balance and footing. I have patients practice standing on one leg with eyes open and eyes closed – you must be barefoot! Try to build up to 30 seconds on each leg. In the office, I'll teach you how to improve the nerve stimulation in the foot, ankle, knee, and hip.

2) Increase Gentle Movements

Keep the affected limb or body part moving. This helps improve vessel health, blood flow, and improves oxygen to the tissues. Let me help you regain lost flexibility and get a greater range of motion in your whole body. In my office, I use Winback Therapy treatments plus teaching simple stretches to improve range of motion and reduce your risk of getting worse.

3) Increased Energy

A non-drug intervention for feeling more energy is to improve your mitochondrial function. These are the powerhouses and cellular energy producers. To feel more energized and help you take on new challenges like a casual walk or a hike I recommend MitoCore.

4) Enhanced Pain Management

I am proud that I have the latest non-invasive, less risky, and less costly technology to reduce neuropathy, stiffness, and chronic pain. For continued pain management at home, I recommend Phyto-Zol serum.

5) Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF)

PEMF uses healthy electromagnetic frequencies to enhance overall health and wellness and has been shown to have positive benefits on pain and inflammation in neuropathy and chronic complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).

6) Laser Therapy

Laser therapy has demonstrated analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects on neuropathy and CRPS.

7) Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy contributes to tackling pain head-on. It stimulates breaking up scar tissue and creating more blood flow to deep areas within the body. I have tremendous experience with shockwave therapy, and I continue to see lasting comfort in my patients from these treatments.

8) Winback TECAR Therapy

Winback TECAR therapy is a deep heat sensation that increases blood flow, contributes to reduced pain and improved function. If you have not tried this modality for neuropathy I highly recommend it.

Check out Winback's FREE webinars featuring Dr. Tucker! Watch and listen to renowned therapists and speakers as they discuss the benefits of TECAR.

9) Combo-Therapy

Combining a little exercise, some nutrition changes, improved sleep, and some of the above therapies can help you get further along and recover more quickly — and fully.

10) Vagus Nerve Stimulation

The traditional applications of neurostimulation include transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS). But Dr. Tucker being Dr. Tucker is usually ahead of the curve and breaks away from traditional methods. He is using vagal nerve stimulation (VNS). This increases vagal nerve tone from the brain down. The evidence is there that VNS helps with migraine and cluster headaches which can often accompany neuropathy.
