10 Years of Care & Support

July is a special month at Transplant House of Cleveland; and it's extra special this year as we mark 10 years of providing a welcoming place for transplant patients and caregivers to call home while in Cleveland for medical care.

Since our first guests Miriam and her daughter Ashley arrived in Cleveland from Arizona on July 20, 2014, we've been a home away from home to more than 1,600 guests, provided over 60,000 nights of housing, and saved guest families an estimated $8.7 million in hotel, parking, and other lodging-related costs.

This House has also inspired countless friendships, acts of care, and uplifting moments between the guests who have called this place home during the past decade. All of this is possible because of the generosity of our supporters. Your gifts of time, financial support, and advocacy for our mission and the families we serve are deeply appreciated by everyone here. Thank you for helping us reach this milestone!

Happenings Around the House

10 Years of Home Away from Home

It takes many helping hands and giving hearts to build and sustain a community. In the 10 years since our opening, many have supported our mission with gifts of their time, abilities, and financial resources. Brian Vitale generously gave of all three.

Ring that Bell!

Ring that bell! Barbara came to Cleveland with her husband, Thomas who needed a double lung transplant. After a stay of nearly two months, Barbara rang the bell to celebrate the latest milestone in their transplant journey: their return home to Indiana with a new pair of lungs. This gift of a second chance at life was made possible by Thomas' donor saying "yes" to becoming an organ donor.

If you are not already a registered organ donor, please consider becoming one today.
