This Sunday,

a special Choral Evensong featuring the Saint Singers

Our Choral Evensong, this Sunday, February 25 at 5 pm, will be sung by

This beautiful service will be a wonderful way to end your weekend and prepare for the week ahead.

A Service of Remembrance:

Jeanne Gunn Lapierre

This Saturday, February 24, 5 pm

This Saturday, February 24 at 5 pm we're having a service of remembrance for Jeanne Lapierre. Jeanne was an integral part of St. James’s Music Program for more than 25 years. She served in countless ways, including as Children’s Choir accompanist, choir librarian, soprano in both adult choirs, and pianist for services. Most importantly, she was a model of how to live a Godly life.

This service marks one year since she passed. All are invited.

Mission work has long been a central part of life at St. James’s. And we’re excited to announce that – after a period of discernment – we’ll be offering three meaningful mission opportunities this summer.

Three chances to create important connections. Three mission chances to start (or continue) relationships that change lives -- including yours. And three chances to make a difference in the lives of people in need.

Our Summer Missions are Hurley Community Development Center, Harvest of Hope and Our Little Roses Home for Girls in Honduras. We also have a fourth way to be God's hands in the world right here in Richmond, ProjectHomes.

To learn more about our missions -- and to watch a video with Rev. Blake Singer and Katie Ricard that does a great job of explaining our Missions efforts -- you can go here.

The deadline to sign up for the trip to Our Little Roses in Honduras is March 15.

Please note, we’ve moved the Worship section to the bottom of eChimes on Friday. It will still be at or near the top of the Sunday email.

Vacation Bible School is less than four months, too early to sign up but not too early to put on your calendar. Stay tuned for more details.

The Website Calendar has been updated.

And is fully up to date.

We know the Calendar on the website hasn’t always been as reliable as it should have been. But starting today, that’s gonna change. We have a new calendar up – and it is being maintained on a full-time basis. So you can confidently use it as a resource for events going on at the church.

We apologize for any frustration you’ve experienced in the past. This new calendar should be a vast improvement – which will only get better as time goes by.

Just a reminder that Easter is earlier than usual this year.

See our updated Winter Calendar for Holy Week events too.
