What Mass. life science leaders expect under Donald Trump |
|
Excerpt: "Business leaders say there are a lot of unknowns about how the next Trump administration will affect the life sciences and healthcare industries — such as who'll be named to lead federal agencies critical to its regulation.
However, life sciences and medical device leaders agreed that Trump may bring a more favorable environment for mergers and acquisitions."

Germany’s economy is in trouble. The government’s collapse and Trump’s return bring more risk. |
Excerpt: "The collapse of Germany’s governing coalition and President-elect Donald Trump’s imminent return to the White House are creating new risks for the European Union’s biggest economy, already in a troubling decline. (...) Scholz's firing of the finance minister came after his center-left Social Democrats and the environmentalist, left-leaning Greens had discussed plans for massive state investments. The Free Democrats, however, rejected tax increases or changes to Germany’s strict self-imposed limits on running up debt.
The Boston Bierhaus That Burned Down. Twice |
|
Excerpt: "Will the 150-year-old Jacob Wirth collapse under the heat, or can it rise from the ashes once again?
(...) Oddly enough, this wasn’t the first devastating fire at the property: Shortly after it was put up for sale in June 2018, the iconic German restaurant had burst into flames. At the time of the second fire, LaGuardia and the rest of the new ownership team were in the process of readying the restaurant for a comeback. In fact, they say, Jacob Wirth was less than three months from reopening."
