This Giving Tuesday, we are reminded of the incredible strength of our community and the hope we are building together. At the IgA Nephropathy Foundation, 100% of every donation goes directly to research. Your generosity supports real progress toward earlier detection, better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.

Today, we are proud to share the latest example of what your support makes possible.

The IgA Nephropathy Foundation and Loma Linda University Health (LLU) have partnered to launch a groundbreaking new research initiative titled Kidney Check: Proactive Urine Dipstick Testing in Healthy Individuals. This study is designed to transform how and when IgA Nephropathy (IgAN) and other kidney diseases are detected.

IgAN is a rare, auto immune kidney disease that often goes unnoticed until significant kidney damage has already occurred. Kidney Check: Proactive Urine Dipstick Testing in Healthy Individuals is changing that. By studying proactive urine dipstick testing in healthy, asymptomatic people, this project aims to uncover kidney issues earlier, giving individuals the chance to seek treatment sooner, qualify for clinical trials, and play a more proactive role in their health for better long-term outcomes.

“This is a milestone moment for our community,” said Bonnie Schneider, Co-Founder and Director of the IgA Nephropathy Foundation. “Early detection is the most important tool we have in fighting this disease. Our partnership with Loma Linda University and Dr. Sayna Norouzi brings us closer to a future where every individual with IgAN can be diagnosed and treated before their disease progresses to a devastating stage.”

This research is fully funded by a gift from the IgA Nephropathy Foundation to Loma Linda University Health. The findings will provide the crucial data needed to advocate for widespread urinalysis screening as a standard of care, something that could change the future for every person at risk of IgAN.

Your Giving Tuesday support helps make breakthroughs like this possible. Every dollar goes toward research that brings us closer to earlier diagnosis, better treatments, and a world where IgAN can no longer devastate families.

We have so much hope for the future, and that hope begins with you.

Thank you for standing with us today and every day.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE ❤️💙

With Gratitude,

Bonnie
