May this coming year bring bountiful blessings that all will share with joyful hearts. I know that this can happen because we at WAPIs for the World have witnessed it year after year.
|
Volunteers from every walk of life have stepped up to make this world a better place. To date, we have helped distribute over 95,000 WAPIs worldwide. This can only be accomplished by working together and receiving help from so many. Thousands of unfortunate lives have been made better. I find it quite inspiring to be part of a community that wants to help others less privileged without personally knowing them or seeking some sort of financial benefit. Will you help us distribute 5,000 WAPIs to make our goal of 100,000 this year?
2021 is behind us and we look forward to another productive year. Inasmuch as COVID has stymied our personal visitations to certain areas of the world, our units continue to be delivered to their intended designation. Most recently in Botswana where Patrick Kinnear has finally received his shipment after many weeks in customs.
We have shipped over 7,000 units to different regions in the world this past year. Uganda, Malawi, Botswana, Kenya, Haiti and Mexico, just to mention a few. I stand in awe of the generosity of so many people giving of themselves and their time. We also have had inquiries from folks in Congo and Northeast Thailand.

Many areas around the world suffer from water-borne diseases. The WAPI is not the cure-all for potable water but, all in all, is an excellent device. There are many avenues to pursue for water purification. One is filters, which require periodic maintenance to perform at optimal levels. Quite often chemicals, such as chlorine and iodine improperly used, can cause very serious health issues. Villagers need to be taught to maintain the equipment and the specific amount of chemicals required to be applied. Unfortunately, this may sometimes be given to people who do not read. But, with the WAPI there is no guesswork or maintenance; just attach it to the pot, no matter how big the container, and when the wax melts the water is safe to drink.
We are a faith-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization depending totally upon charitable contributions. None of our staff of volunteers receive financial compensation for their time, and all donations go directly to assembling materials and shipping expenses.
We have capable volunteers who are willing to help improve our production by producing more and perfecting a quality product. We have many volunteers who assemble WAPIs, and those who complete the process with packaging. Being involved in a project like this opens our eyes to the love shared by many. This process, that we at Extra Mile Ministries/ WAPIs for the World work with, have changed our lives by giving without measure or expectations. Will you join the WAPI Project? There is a great need! It can change your life as well as help our world. Working together we can and have made a difference.

I might mention here, that the WAPI is virtually indestructible, reusable and is very accurate. We test each unit before it leaves our facility. Our Water Pasteurization Indicator can be reused for many years. When the wax melts, the water is potable with no harmful bacteria. After the wax in the tube slides to the bottom and solidifies, you are able to reuse it. The ingredient inside the tube does not break down over time because of heat. The melting temperature stays the same whether the WAPI is new or used. The wax still melts at the pasteurization temperature of 154°F, which is well below the boiling point of 212°F where minerals are destroyed. Boiled water does not quench the thirst or mineral requirements of the body.

We recovered one of our WAPIs from a remote village in Belin Gualcho, Honduras a while back. The folks there used the WAPI daily, and it looked like it. The mother of the house came over to me and said, “Thank you, my family doesn't get sick from the water any longer.” We gave her a newer model and took the used one back home with us for further study and review. The unit worked just as good as it did when we first gave it to her two years previously.
Consider a generous donation toward our efforts or get involved in the WAPI solution of worldwide water-borne disease. Together we can quench the thirst!
With Warm Wishes for a prosperous New Year,

Are you Prepared?
We never know when an emergency may arise such as New Orleans or what happened in Honduras. Water is essential for our survival. It would be good advice to have one of our small units in your emergency survival kits. Considering we give these devices away to those in critical need, it would benefit our outreach program by selling individual WAPIs here in the USA to generate capital to continue our efforts. Please consider purchasing one or more for yourself or share them with your neighbors.

Here is how to Purchase WAPIs.
-
We offer the WAPI devices at $5.00 each including postage. The production cost for a unit is $3.00. All of our units are handmade and packaged by dedicated volunteers. All revenue generated goes directly back into production and shipping costs. Make a purchase of 10 or more and we share the cost at $3.50 each. Also, we package larger orders of 50 for $100. To order, please respond to Bob at WAPIsfortheWorld@gmail.com or Margo at margoWAPI@gmail.com
DONATE - Together we can quench the thirst!
- We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and as such you will receive a Tax Deduction.

When to use a WAPI?
- When camping, hunting, bicycling, or hiking on the back roads.

- WAPIs are used in the process of pasteurizing water as well as juice and milk.
