A Little about Us
The purpose and mission of The 100 Club of Solano & Yolo Counties is to assist families of first responders within these two counties, who have fallen in the line of duty.
As we all know, it can take several months to process paperwork and receive benefits. The Club's mission is to assist the families with immediate financial needs (funeral expenses, travel expenses for out-of-town family members, and lost wages). The Club also provides ongoing financial assistance of $1,000 per child, per year, for education or other needs, until the children reach the age of 18.
Yesterday (July 12) the Club fulfilled our mission by presenting a $20,000 check to the Bowen family. We will continue to work with the family during this difficult time and beyond.
Many have asked how to help. You can go to our website www.100clubsyc.org and click the tab to donate. Your donations will help ensure that we have the necessary funds needed to continue assisting families of our fallen heroes.
Follow us on Facebook for upcoming fundraisers that help replenish our funds.
We sincerely appreciate everyone who has supported the Club, our mission, and the Bowen family during this difficult time.
Thank you to our awesome communities!!

Honoring Teri Wilson
With great sadness, the Vallejo Police Department (VPD) announces the passing of our dedicated dispatcher, Teri Wilson, badge #2259. VPD has lost an incredible individual who served the citizens and community of Vallejo for almost 30 years. Teri was the epitome of the "calm voice in the dark," always showing professionalism and dedication.
Starting in 1995, Teri, also known as "T-Dubb," began her career in Vallejo as a police and fire dispatcher and became a tactical dispatcher with the Emergency Services Units. She was reliable, often working overtime to support her peers, and volunteered at community events while training new dispatchers. She was nominated for Top Mic and Dispatcher of the Year.
Teri was commended for her work during the Atlas Fires in 2017 and a major system shutdown in 2018. After retiring in November 2018, her legacy continued to inspire us, and she returned to serve again in May 2023.
Teri once said, "Thank you especially to my Sisters and Brothers in Dispatch. You are all amazing people with such talent. Keep your heads up and know that you are appreciated for all you do - good or bad - you are all the BEST."
Teri Wilson will be deeply missed. Her impact on our team and community reminds us of the importance of each day and the difference one dedicated individual can make.
Teri "T-Dubb" Wilson

Shout Out to Sergeant Williams!
Recently, a young woman and her three younger sisters were on their way home to Fairfield, CA, when they experienced car problems, resulting in their car breaking down on I-80 near Watt Avenue.
Shortly after, Sergeant Williams stopped to check on their welfare. After getting their vehicle safely off the freeway, a tow truck was coordinated; however, the driver could not transport all four sisters. Sergeant Williams volunteered to drive two girls while the other two rode in the tow truck home to Fairfield. The girls were soon reunited with their family, who eagerly awaited their arrival.
It’s opportunities like this that make this job so rewarding.
Great job Sergeant Williams and CHP North Sacramento!

The Connections that Matter
Officer Turner had the honor of sharing a relaxing cup of coffee with a family visiting from Ireland this morning.
The friendly group was passing through - they’d left Sacramento and were headed to San Francisco - when they made the perfectly timed stop. They even shared a slice of their homemade pastry from Ireland with him, as well as some Irish history. ☘️
What a cool opportunity! We want to be like Officer Turner when we grow up!

Honoring Mae
I can’t believe it’s been a week since we lost my mom. As many loved ones as we’ve lost in our family, I just never really imagined losing her.
She remained strong after losing my dad, Bill Hawkins, in 1970 and raised three young children by herself. In 1976, she was lucky enough to marry our bonus dad, Lorenzo (Larry) Vicente, an incredibly amazing man. Losing him crippled us all, especially the grandchildren.
Putting a child to rest is something a parent should never have to do, but again, she remained standing after losing my dear sister, Rhonda Hawkins (Which was more than many of us were capable of.) She also loved and lost her brother, her only sibling, and many friends who were considered family.
Her passion for life was amazing. She considered herself a professional artist and was always learning new techniques. She also loved ceramics, knitting , sewing, and most any craft. She has a cute sign in her sewing room that says whoever dies with the most fabric wins, she definitely won!!!
She loved to travel and explorer new places, but also loved to return to her favorites, such as Lake Tahoe, and especially Hawaii. Our trip to Maui was one of my greatest memories.
Her most loved activity was dancing, including swing with Larry and square dancing. As she aged, no longer dancing was her biggest concern and disappointment.
She was beyond proud of her law enforcement career and did everything she could to stay connected. She worked with the retired employees and was the Historian to the end. Boy is FPD going to be amazed at what they’ll be receiving!!! She was an amazing dispatcher and was the first class one reserve for Fairfield Police Department and often took me riding with her. She held many positions at Fairfield and Suisun Police Departments that I just can’t list them all.
After retiring, she created Mae’s legal Transcribing Service to stay connected and to bring justice to victims.
Family was her number one commitment. She loved us kids, but was an amazing grandmother! Oh how she loved those babies and watching them all become amazing adults. She was beyond thrilled watching Russ and I become grandparents and sharing in our joy. She knew how it completed us and was so happy to be a part of it.
Becoming a great grandmother truly completed her! She loved each one dearly and asked to see them often. Her joy and interaction with them brought such joy to our hearts. She was anxious to meet a new one on the way, but we will have to settle with raising her with stories and beautiful memories.
The world has lost an amazing matriarch. I love you mom.
We are hoping for a Celebration of Life on August 25th at 3:00. We’ll keep everyone posted.
