class of 2025 senior graduation dues: The senior graduation dues are required of all seniors. The funds will be used to pay for your students cap and gown, and to offset the cost of graduation and related expenses. You can pay the $75 senior graduation dues on MySchoolBucks.

sophomore class dinner and college night: Sophomore Class Dinner and College Application Case Studies Night is scheduled for Wed, Feb 26. Sophomore students and their parents/guardians are invited to join us from 5:45-6:45 pm for our class dinner. This fundraiser will be catered by Cafe Rio in the Cafeteria. Tickets are $25 per person and are non-refundable. RSVP by Feb 23. This is our only fundraiser of the year! Dinner tickets can be reserved here. To volunteer to help make this event a success sign up here.
College Night will begin at 7 pm. Come learn from the experts! This program will allow you to work alongside a college admission representative as part of a mock admissions team. Review applications and discuss applicants’ strengths and weaknesses. Gain a better understanding of the college admission process to plan for the rest of your high school experience.
Parents and students are both invited to attend, one registration per family. Register for the Sophomore College Case Studies here. Registration will close on Feb 24. A dinner ticket is not required to attend the college night.

Congratulations to Risha Potluri for placing 1st in Impromptu Speaking and Gabriel Elferrane for placing 3rd in Extemporaneous Speaking at the VHSL Super Regional Debate Championships. Jack Rieckewald placed 4th in Extemporaneous Speaking and Elakshi Nedungottil placed 6th for Original Oratory.
The team will go on to compete in the State Championships on Mar 28 in Salem, VA. The Langley Speech & Debate team placed 5th out of 12 teams.

Congratulations to the students whose 2024-2025 Reflections entries earned Outstanding Interpretation Award (OI), Award of Excellence (AE) or Award of Merit (AM) at the Fairfax County Council level! Outstanding Interpretation Award entries in the FCCPTA level were advanced to the Virginia PTA (VA PTA) level.
FCCPTA Reflections Awards Ceremony: Fri, Feb 28, 7 pm, Lake Braddock Secondary School, Little Theater, Entrance 14. All students in the OI, AE and AM awards lists and all local Reflections coordinators are invited along with school representatives, family and friends.

Join LHS Psychologist Anna Brown and Social Worker Jordan Payne for an engaging parent conversation on Jennifer Wallace’s book, Never Enough. Never Enough “takes readers on a journey into the heart of toxic achievement culture and offers practical, actionable solutions for families, schools and communities.”
Wallace concludes that “kids who receive feedback that they matter, no matter what, are more likely to have the resilience, self-confidence and psychological security to survive.” Jennifer Wallace is an award-winning journalist who began her career at 60 Minutes and contributes to the Wall Street Journal and Washington Post. spring sports athlete registration: Athlete Registration begins soon! First day of tryouts is Mon, Feb 24. Visit the Langley Athletics website for more information about registration and tryout dates for each sport.

Registration must be done each year. If you registered for the 2023-2024 school year, you need to re-register for the 2024-2025 school year. Register your child here.
- To participate in Langley sports, students must complete a physical after May 1, 2024. The physical must be done on the official VHSL form. Submit completed VHSL Physicals by one of the following ways:
- Dropping them off in the Activities Office
- Mailing them to: Langley HS 6520 Georgetown Pike, McLean VA 22101, ATTN: Activities Office
- Scanning and emailing to langleyathletics@fcps.edu.
