Denise El Chaar
Chief Investment Section, United Nations

Mrs. El Chaar is Chief Investment Section for the United Nations Headquarters in New York responsible for fixed income investing and global foreign exchange. Prior to her current position at the United Nations Headquarters, she was an Investment Office at the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund responsible for managing a fixed income portfolio. She joined the United Nations from the Bank of New York and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York where she was a Senior Financial and Economic Analyst in the Central Banks and International Account Services Group and worked closely with Central Banks worldwide. Prior to her work at the New York Fed, she was the Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Apple Computer in Cupertino, California. Her prior work experience also includes Credit Risk Management at BNP Paribas and Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange Derivative Sales and Trading at Société Générale. Mrs. El Chaar is a member of the 100 Women in Finance and the Financial Women’s Association. Mrs. El Chaar holds a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from L’ Institut d’Études Politique de Paris.

Tanya Ghaleb-Harter 
Director, Chief Investment Office Due Diligence, Merrill Lynch

Tanya is a member of the Merrill Lynch CIO Due Diligence strategy team responsible for leading the advisor communication process on alternative investments, a $50 billion business that includes liquid alternatives, hedge funds, and private equity. In this role, she speaks at firm and industry events, works with asset class specialists and manager research analysts to synthesize market and strategy views, and partners with fund analysts to meet with managers across strategies and structures. She has been with Merrill Lynch since 2009, having previously helped build and lead the firm’s liquid alternatives research process. Prior to joining the firm, she worked at Deutsche Bank as a portfolio manager and lead analyst for the fund of hedge funds business, where she ran multi-strategy and emerging manager portfolios, and she led investment due diligence for global macro, managed futures, commodity and quantitative equity hedge funds. Tanya also served as head of quantitative portfolio analysis for the group, where she developed optimization and performance attribution models for hedge fund portfolios. She began her career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in the Research and Market Analysis Group. Tanya has written and co-authored articles appearing in professional journals and educational publications, including the Journal of Wealth Management and the Journal of Private Equity. She holds a BA (Phi Beta Kappa) in economics and an MBA in finance from Cornell University.

Seema R. Hingorani
Founder and Chief Investment Officer, SevenStep Capital

Seema R. Hingorani is currently the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of SevenStep Capital, a hedge fund seeding platform that has a focus on investing in women and minority hedge fund managers. Ms. Hingorani is also a Senior Advisor to Crestview Partners. Ms. Hingorani served until June 30, 2014 as Chief Investment Officer for the New York City Retirement Systems which had assets of $160 billion.

Previous to this appointment, Ms. Hingorani was Interim Chief Investment Officer and before that Head of Public Equities & Hedge Funds for the pension funds. Under Ms. Hingorani's leadership, the pension fund was named Hedge Fund Manager of the Year - Large Public Pension Plans by Institutional Investor. Prior to Ms. Hingorani's four years of public sector experience, she served as Global Director of Fundamental Research at Pyramis Global Advisors; a General Partner, Portfolio Manager and Senior Equity Analyst with hedge fund Andor Capital Management; a General Partner and Senior Equity Analyst at hedge fund Pequot Capital Management; Co-founder of hedge fund Mirador Capital Management; and an Equity Analyst with T. Rowe Price.

Ms. Hingorani is the Founder and Chair of Girls Who Invest, a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the asset management industry by bringing more women into portfolio management and leadership. She was honored as the 2016 Woman with Impact by the Connecticut Women's Business Development Council, Wall Street Women Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015 by Traders magazine and received the 2015 Women in Finance Achievement award from MarketsMedia for her work with Girls Who Invest. Ms. Hingorani served as a member of the National Finance Committee of Secretary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential Campaign. Ms. Hingorani is an active member of The Economic Club of New York and 100 Women in Finance and also served for eight years as a member of the Board of Directors of Project Enterprise, a nonprofit microfinance organization dedicated to supporting and to developing entrepreneurs and small businesses (most of which were women and women-owned) in under-resourced communities in New York City.

Ms. Hingorani earned her BA in Psychology/Philosophy from Yale College and her MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Susan Webb 
CEO and CIO, Appomattox

Susan is the Co-Founder and President/CIO of Appomattox. In this capacity, she is a member of the Investment Committee responsible for identifying and evaluating managers as well as managing portfolios. Prior to co-founding Appomattox, she was Head of First Atlas Capital, Inc., the SEC Registered Advisor of Atlas Capital, a multi-billion dollar global fund of hedge funds manager. She was a member of the Global Investment Committee and launched, with Weston Capital, the Weston-Atlas Manager Seeding Platform.

In its’ capacity as an Out-Sourced CIO, Appomattox is a leader in identifying small and emerging managers. In addition, Appomattox as a woman and Hispanic owned firm it focuses on achieving diversity in the portfolios it customizes. Diversity is another element of portfolio diversification and as such a component of constructing a resilient portfolio.

Susan’s career in finance spans over 30 years where she developed an expertise in trading, financing, and structuring derivatives. Ms. Webb began her career at Irving Trust in 1984 where she completed the credit analyst program and worked in loan work outs. She left after 2 years and joined trading desks for five years each at Citibank, Paribas Capital Markets and CIBC. While there she either joined, or set up and ran, derivative trading groups including interest rate, currency, equity, credit and hedge fund structuring. In 2000, she joined Caisse des Depots as a Managing Director and established their credit derivative and synthetic CLO and hedge fund structuring business in the US. She has 15 years direct experience managing portfolios of hedge funds. She received a BA from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.

Susan Webb is a board member for GTI Capital Group, an investment firm focused on opportunities in India. She does not receive compensation in connection with GTI Capital Group or any business activity outside of Appomattox. Ms. Webb is on the board of High Water Women, a non-profit foundation that encourages financial education of women and youth. She is also on the advisory board of Catalyst Financial Partners, a group that promotes small and emerging managers in the financial industry. Susan is an Elder, and a former head of stewardship at the Brick Church.

Dale Kindregan
Executive Director, Endowments and Foundations, UBS

Dale joined UBS Asset Management in January 2017 as a Client Advisor covering endowments and foundations (E&F). In this role, she helps to strategically develop new business relationships with universities, foundations, museums, religious organizations and other non-profit organizations across the US. Out of her 30 year career in the investment management field, Dale has spent 20 years working exclusively with the endowment and foundation channel.

Prior to joining UBS Asset Management, Dale was Director, Institutional Advisory Services at Principal Global Investors for four years, where she was responsible for selling institutional strategies to endowments, foundations and non-profit healthcare organizations across the US. Prior to this, Dale was Head of Endowment and Foundation Channel in the Institutional Sales Group at PineBridge Investments (formerly AIG Investments) from 2005 to 2011. From 2001 to 2005, she was in the Institutional Sales Team as Endowment & Foundation Relationship Manager at Russell Investments, where she developed and implemented Russell's OCIO new business strategy within the E&F sector nationally.

Dale held Vice President positions at U.S. Trust Company (New York) from 1997 to 2001 and Glenmede Trust Company (Philadelphia) from 1991 to 1997 selling various investment strategies to E&F and other institutional investors. She started her career as a Marketing Representative at Del-Vest, Inc.-Bank of Delaware from 1986 to 1991.

Dale has been a Board Member and Chair of the Gala Event Committee for the Jubilee Center of Hoboken Children's Educational Program since 2008. She is a member of AIMSE and 100 Women in Finance and is a prior Board Member of the Hepatitis B Foundation.

Dale received her B.A. in Psychology from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and completed the Wharton School's Graduate Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a Licensed Registered Representative: FINRA Series 7, 63; and NFA Series 3 and 30.
