EDUCATION SESSION #756
A Backpacker's Perspective: Investing in Asia with Benjamin Fuchs, BFAM Partners
How did a backpacking expedition across Asia become the first steps toward a successful career as an investor?

The story begins at the trailhead in the US, and leads to Hong Kong. Mileposts include the financial crisis and the launch of new ventures, as well as transitions from banking to portfolio management.

Listen in as Benjamin Fuchs, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of BFAM Partners, shares stories from his career in conversation with Denise Hu, founder and Chief Investment Officer of Archer Asia. Their discussion is unscripted and unconstrained, but you will leave with Mr. Fuchs’s thoughts about:

  • The view from the summit – perspectives on current and future investment opportunity in China and neighboring markets
  • Lessons from the trail - advice for today’s start up funds
  • Stumbling and finding your footing – learning from setbacks

Bring your inquiring mind, and perhaps a question or two for Mr. Fuchs. No topic is off limits.
