EDUCATION SESSION #1047
Unconscious Bias: How It Impacts Hiring and Promoting
You have biases. We all do. Research suggests that unconscious bias occurs automatically and unintentionally as the brain makes quick judgments based on past experiences and background. Bias influences workplace decisions, including hiring, salaries and, ultimately, career advancement.

Explore unconscious bias and its impact in several aspects of the workplace:

1. What is unconscious bias
2. How to identify and understand your own unconscious biases and their impact on hiring and promoting
3. Best practices to address unconscious bias and create a more inclusive and diverse workplace
4. How to identify and challenge unconscious biases that you encounter among colleagues and clients.

Bring your questions and plan to contribute to an interactive discussion. Gather actionable takeaways for yourself and your colleagues. Share your perspective with peers as you network over drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

Space is limited; please register early.
