EDUCATION SESSION
An Evening with Elaine Crocker, President, Moore Capital Management
|
|
Few women have had greater impact on the alternative asset management industry than Elaine Crocker. Starting as an administrative assistant in 1970 with a newly launched commodities trading firm, she developed an exceptional eye for spotting and nurturing some of the best known traders in the world, including Louis Bacon, Bruce Kovner and Paul Tudor Jones, although she herself never traded. As President of Moore Capital Management, Ms. Crocker is responsible for administration of all areas of the firm, with the heads of finance, operations, legal, compliance, human resources, technology, and investor relations all reporting to her.
Ms. Crocker will reflect on her career, lessons learned, the state of the hedge fund industry and what lies ahead for fund managers and women finance professionals, in a fireside chat with Jane Abitanta.
During her long-lived career, Ms. Crocker worked with many luminaries in the industry and won awards for her leadership. This will be a night to remember.
Ms. Crocker and Ms. Abitanta are both 100 Women in Finance Global Association Board members.
