Patrizia Bussoli
Head of Asset Allocation, Pramerica
Patrizia Bussoli has many years of experience in financial markets, utilizing deep economic and financial analysis, while always keeping a focus on the European economic integration. Her approach offers new ways of interpreting the economy and markets to support financial investment decisions. Patrizia became the head the Asset Allocation team at Pramerica in 2018 after twelve years as Head of Fixed Income Asset Allocation at Fideuram Investimenti sgr. Previously, Patrizia was a fund manager for credit, ABS and structured products at Nextra sgr, in Milan. She worked for several years as a macroeconomist at Deutsche Bank in London.
Patrizia attended Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain) where she earned a Master in Economics cum laude and a PhD in Economics with honors. She graduated at Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) with a degree in Economics (cum laude). She was a professor of International Economics at Pompeu Fabra. She also taught a course on country risk for the MBA program at SDA Bocconi for several years. She worked as a researcher at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei in Milan and she published several working papers. She temporarily served the European Commission, DGII - Economics and Finance, where she contributed with a paper on the Euro future. She wrote a paper “Asset-backed securities: The key to unlocking Europe’s credit market” (joint with C.Altomonte), Bruegel policy contribution in 2014, and the book “Investire con le obbligazioni: conoscere gli strumenti e valutare I rischi” (Joint with L.Bagato) Publisher Hoepli (2014). She frequently speaks at conferences on economics and finance.
Giulia Pellegrini
Head of EMD Sustainable Investing, BlackRock
Giulia Pellegrini, Director, is a Portfolio Manager, Head of EMD Sustainable Investing, and Deputy Head of EM Economic Research for the Fundamental Emerging Markets Debt team within BlackRock's Global Fixed Income group. Giulia focuses on EM sovereign debt strategies with a special focus on Frontier Markets.
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2015, Giulia was Chief Economist for Sub-Saharan Africa in J.P.Morgan's Emerging Market Research team in London and in Johannesburg from 2010 to 2015. From 2008 to 2010, Giulia was an Economist on the Junior Professional Associate (JPA) program of the World Bank, in the Africa Finance and Private Sector Development Department in Washington D.C. From 2006 to 2008, Giulia was an Economist in the Policy & Strategy Division of the Debt Management Office of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Giulia holds a PGCert in Econometrics from Birkbeck College, an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford - St Antony's College, and a BSc in Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies - University of London.
Carla Scarano
Head of US Equities, Anima SGR
Carla Scarano is the head of US equities at Anima Sgr, a 170 billion Euros asset manager based in Milan. Carla joined the firm in 2002 as a global consumer cyclical fund manager and assistant fund manager for US equities. She was promoted to Head of US Equities in 2006 and her investment style favors a bottom- up approach combined with a GARP style.
Ms. Scarano graduated from the Bocconi University in Milan with a degree in business and accounting and is currently Co-Chair of the 100 Women in Finance Milano-Lugano executive committee.
Jole Saggese
Chief Editor, Class CNBC
Jole is a Political Science graduate with a Master’s in Business Administration and she has been registered with the professional journalist association since 2000.
Her career began in 1994 working with Ansa’s journalistic editorial staff and Il Mattino newspaper. She joined Gruppo Class Editori in 2001, working at Class CNBC, the financial TV channel broadcast on Sky.
In recent years, she has been active in the start-up and development of Class CNBC, focusing on asset management and real estate industry related programs.
Today, Jole is Chief Editor of Class CNBC and conducts “Report”, the main evening news on financial and economic topics.
