International Women's Day with HRH The Countess of Wessex and HE The President of Malta
Celebrate International Women's Day at a reception in the presence of HRH The Countess of Wessex GCVO, Global Ambassador for 100WF's Next Generation initiative. Network with colleagues and friends over drinks in the magnificent surroundings of the exclusive Casino Maltese. The premises it occupies were originally built by the Knights of St John in the seventeenth century and this historic building has hosted royalty and prominent personalities. Amanda Pullinger, CEO of 100WF and Elaine Mulcahy, Chair of 100WF's Malta Committee, will speak about the organization and reflect on its achievements in Malta and upcoming events.

Amanda Pullinger
Chief Executive Officer, 100 Women in Finance

Ms. Pullinger is the Chief Executive Officer of 100 Women in Finance (previously 100 Women in Hedge Funds). She leads a small staff team and manages over 500 volunteer practitioners globally, overseeing the operations of the organization, which now has over 15,000 members in 22 locations. Ms. Pullinger is a former principal of Aquamarine Capital Management, where she was responsible, over a period of seven years, for managing marketing, investor relations and back office administration for two private investment funds. Ms. Pullinger is Co-Vice Chair of the Women’s Network Forum, she serves on the Board of the HALO Trust (USA) and also as a Director on the Oxford University Alumni Board. She previously served as Chairman of the Board of The HALO Trust ( www.halotrust.org ) and on the Boards of SkillForce, NYU Cancer Institute and Girls’ Prep, and was on the founding Board of 100 Women in Finance, serving as its President for two years. She is a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Ms. Pullinger graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University in 1987 with an Honours Degree in Modern History. She earned an MBA from La Salle University, Philadelphia, in 1998, and received the Academic Award for MBA student of the year as well as the Beta Gamma Sigma designation.

Elaine Mulcahy
Entrepreneur and investor
Chair, 100WF Malta location

Having spent almost 10 years as an M&A investment banker with JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank and Citigroup, working in capital raising, M&A and equity sales, in 2003 Elaine joined a FinTech start up, Mergermarket where she helped build the buy-side products of the firm and was a member of the Senior Management Group and Innovation Committee until 2012 when she left the business. She was also actively involved in the sale of the business on behalf of two venture capital funds to a FTSE 100 listed entity. For the first 5 years Elaine ran sales and business development for the European hedge fund business, and was actively involved in launching new businesses in USA and Asia. For the last 4 years she was MD of dealReporter and was launched an equity based product in LATAM and a bond business in Middle East. She was Co-Chair of EuroIRP, a representative body of independent research providers (IRPs) across Europe from 2006 until 2014 and remains an active board member. Elaine is now actively engaged in providing consulting services to start-ups, financial services companies and independent research providers (IRPs) through Polaris Ventures. Drawing on her proven sales, marketing, operations, change management, profit improvement, product development and project management skills, Elaine offers strategic advice and performs training courses on sales, negotiation, relationship building, & people management. Polaris Ventures is also an active investor in companies. In 2016 Elaine took the initiative to raise the capital to launch the Maltese chapter of 100 Women in Finance (100WF) whose inaugural event was held in November 2016 and officially opened by Her Excellency, the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca. Elaine’s passionate about life, people and food. She has successfully opened her first restaurant venture – La Vida in Malta as well as a health care business focused on wellness.
