Jeroen Bos, CFA, CAIA is Head of Specialised Equity & Responsible Investing at NN Investment Partners (NN IP) and part of its Management Team Investments. His portfolio of responsibilities includes a variety of Global and Regional Sustainable & Impact Equity Funds, as well as a range of Global & European Equity funds. Jeroen is also a member of NN IP's ESG Board and has been instrumental in the development of ESG integration at NNIP in the last decade. His previous roles at NN IP included Head of Global Equity Research as well as Senior Portfolio Manager on several Global Equity & Thematic Funds. Before joining NN IP, Jeroen was a Director at UBS in New York in the Technology Equity Research Team. Prior to UBS, he was a Vice President at JP Morgan in London and a Senior Equity Analyst at MeesPierson/Fortis in Amsterdam. Jeroen is also a Board Member of CFA Society VBA Netherlands as well as a Board Member of the Work with Nature Foundation, a non-profit organization protecting Costa Rica’s rainforest.
Founder, Beyond Alpha
Mirtha Kastrapeli is the founder and CEO of Beyond Alpha, a specialized research and consulting firm dedicated to helping institutional investors and intermediaries design, implement and effectively communicate their responsible investment strategies. She is also a Fellow at Columbia University’s Center for Sustainable Investment, CCSI. Most recently, Ms. Kastrapeli was Managing Director and Global Head of State Street’s Center for Applied Research, an independent think-tank designed to provide insights about the future of the investment industry. In this capacity, she co-authored multiple papers including ‘The Big Shift; Finding a New Center of Gravity for the Investment Industry’ in 2019, ‘The Investing Enlightenment: How Principle and Pragmatism Can Create Sustainable Value through ESG’ in 2017, the award-winning study ‘Discovering Phi: Motivation as the Hidden Variable of Performance’ in 2016. Ms. Kastrapeli has over fifteen years of experience in the private and public sector, analyzing capital markets, and helping shape public policy. She spent seven years as a Global Macro Strategist at State Street Global Markets in Boston. In the public sector, Ms. Kastrapeli served as an advisor to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Economics in Nicaragua. She also worked at the Economic and Commercial Office of the US Embassy in Managua, where she received a Meritorious Honor Award by the US Department of State. Ms. Kastrapeli earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in Finance and Economics from Ave Maria College in Nicaragua and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, MBA, from the Brandeis International Business School.
Co-Head of Responsible Investment, Man Group
Jason Mitchell is Co-Head of Responsible Investment at Man Group and co-chairs Man Group’s Stewardship and Active Ownership Committee. He has held this position since July 2018. Jason worked at Man GLG from 2004 to 2008 as a portfolio manager. Between 2008 to 2010, he advised the UK government on infrastructure development across Sub-Saharan Africa. He returned to Man GLG in 2010 as a portfolio manager, before becoming a sustainability strategist across Man Group in 2017. Prior to Man GLG, he was a Vice President at Andor Capital Management and an investment research analyst with Pequot Capital Management. Besides having managed environmental and sustainability strategies, he speaks and publishes widely on responsible investment. Jason’s articles and comments on sustainable investing have been quoted in a number of top-tier publications, including Institutional Investor, Wall Street Journal, CNBC Squawk Box, Responsible Investor, Aftenposten, Global Times, AIMA Journal and Investment Europe. He has written widely on the European refugee migrant crisis. He also hosts the award-winning podcast series, A Sustainable Future. Jason serves on the EFRAG (European Financial Reporting Advisory Group) Lab Steering Group and the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) Academic Advisory Committee. He chaired the PRI Hedge Funds Advisory Committee from 2014 to 2018. He is co-editor of PRI Perspectives academic journal. He is a contributing author to: CFA UK’s Certificate in ESG Investing Textbook (Ed. 2, 2020); Responsible Investing: A Guide to Environmental, Social, and Governance Investments (Routledge: 2018); Sustainable Investing: Revolutions in Theory and Practice (Routledge: 2017) and Evolutions in Sustainable Investing: Strategies, Funds and Thought Leadership (Wiley Finance: 2012). Executive Director, Product Development, MUFG Investor Services
Cliodhna Murphy is an Executive Director for Product Development at MUFG Investor Services with responsibility for Hedge Fund and Fund of Hedge fund lines of Business. Cliodhna joined MUFG Investor Services from Man Group where she served under various roles including Business Manager for GLG Credit, Head of Investment Management Services and Head of Investor Services. Prior to Man Group, Cliodhna was Chief Operating Officer for the start-up Asset Manager Decura, she was a VP at Goldman Sachs Administration Services and an Associate at Morgan Stanley Fund Services. She earned a Bachelors degree in International Insurance and European Studies from the University of Limerick.
Director, Impact Investing Institute
Jamie Broderick is a Director of the Impact Investing Institute, an independent, non-profit UK organisation that aims to accelerate the growth and improve the effectiveness of the impact investing market. The Institute is supported by the Government Inclusive Economy Unit, the Department for International Development, the City of London Corporation, and a number of financial services organisations in the UK. Jamie was head of UBS Wealth Management in the UK from 2013-2017. Jamie joined UBS after nineteen years at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, latterly as Chief Executive of its European operations. He joined J.P. Morgan in New York in 1993 and moved to London in 1996. He started his financial services career at Wellington Management Company, an independent asset management partnership in Boston. He studied Arabic Linguistics and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at Harvard College and continued those studies in a Ph.D. program at the University of Chicago.
Miriam González Durantez
Head of Trade Practice, Cohen & Gresser
Miriam González is an international trade lawyer and the founder and chair of Inspiring Girls. Miriam currently leads the trade practice of US law firm, Cohen & Gresser, splitting her time between California, Washington and London. She is Deputy Chair of the Supervisory Board UBS Europe SE, having previously served as a Non-Executive Director of the Board and Chair of the Audit and Remuneration Committees of UBS Limited and as non-executive director of Acciona. Miriam is also a Member of the European Council on Foreign Relations as well as a member of the International Advisory Board of the Circulo de Empresarios in Spain. Miriam is the Founder of Inspiring Girls International, a global charity dedicated to raising the aspirations of young girls around world by connecting school girls and women role models. The campaign currently operates in sixteen countries from Mexico to Singapore. The campaign has also developed an online Video Hub that allows girls all over the world with access to the internet to view a huge range of self-recorded interviews by women about their job and career path. Miriam holds a degree in Law from the University of Valladolid and a Masters in European Policy from the College of Bruges. She is the author of “Devuelveme el poder” on the need for political reform in Spain, and “Made in Spain”, a book of recipes and anecdotes to help raise funds for Inspiring Girls. Miriam lives with her husband and three boys near Palo Alto.
Partner and Head of ESG Funds, Ogier
Kate Hodson is a partner in Ogier's investment funds practice and Head of ESG Funds. She has been working in Asia with Ogier for over ten years but in the last few years has started focusing on ESG issues. She undertook a masters in energy and environmental law from the Chinese University of HK and launched Ogier's Sustainable Investing and Impact Funds practice, the first of its kind amongst the offshore firms. She is a member of Ogier's internal environmental working group, a member of the Leadership group for Ogier's D&I initiative and also a member of WWF HK's finance committee.
