Following the panel presentation and the Q&A, attendees will network in small breakout groups where students may learn more about career opportunities in conversations with finance industry professionals.

Andrea Brezing
Principal, Finback Investment Partners

Andrea has 15 years of investment experience within alternatives for both liquid and illiquid fund structures and has worked with institutional and family office clients. She is currently a Principal and a member of the Investment Committee at Finback Investment Partners, a Miami-based private equity firm that focuses on middle market and growth equity investments. The firm is opportunistic across sectors, and legacy portfolio includes business services, healthcare, information technology and telecommunications. Prior to joining Finback, Andrea spent seven years at PIMCO building their $40 billion alternatives platform that spanned opportunistic strategies, private credit, real estate and hedge funds. She began her career at Goldman Sachs within the Asset Management Division. Her expertise spanned direct investments, multi-manager, and co-investments. Andrea was a Vice President at Protégé Partners, an investment seeding platform and GP staking fund that modeled venture investing for the hedge fund space. Andrea also supported Protégé’s macro hedge fund with research and strategy. She holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in Analytical Finance and Entrepreneurship, where she was a Purcell Scholar, and a B.A. from Duke University in Public Policy and Economics. She holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 3 securities licenses.

Lale Topcuoglu
Managing Director & Head of Credit, Swiss Re

Lale is Head of Credit at Swiss Re. In her role, she is responsible for steering the firm’s investments in global credit markets. She comes to Swiss RE after spending three years as Senior Fund Manager and Head of Credit at J O Hambro Capital Management. Previously, she spent 17 years at Goldman Sachs in various leadership roles, where she invested across credit and equity markets. She started her career as a sell-side research analyst in 1999 at Goldman Sachs was named Managing Director in 2010. Lale earned a BA in Economics and Politics, cum laude, from Mount Holyoke College.

Julia Yu
Principal, Bells Ventures

Julia Yu is a global macro portfolio manager with a decade of experience in the hedge fund industry and emerging markets investment. She was most recently at Millennium Management, a $45bn global multi-strategy hedge fund, trading foreign exchange and fixed income. Previously, she held senior investment roles at JHL Capital and Covepoint Capital. Julia is currently leading an angel group Bells Ventures, investing in startups and other private venture opportunities. She focuses on early stage to Series B rounds across industry sectors, with particular interests in fintech and digital assets. Julia earned a B.S. in Mathematics with Computer Science from MIT. She is a 2018 honoree of the Forbes 30 Under 30 in Finance award.

Drew Chisholm
Director, MFS Investment Management

Drew Chisholm is a Director with MFS International Ltd., a subsidiary of MFS Investment Management. In this role, she works exclusively with financial advisors in the Southeast and West Coast U.S. regions and is responsible for the sale of MFS Meridian Funds for non‐US clients. She is based in the firm’s Miami office. Drew joined MFS in 2015 as an International Senior Sales Representative in Boston, covering the Southwest, West Coast and Mexico regions. She relocated to Miami as a Regional Manager in 2019, and assumed her current position as Director in 2021. Prior to joining MFS, she worked as a corporate actions representative at Brown Brothers Harriman for two years. Drew earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in Spanish from the College of the Holy Cross.
