August 100th Update

Lynda Hastings Medlock has been working with people at East High and said that East is doing all it can to make the 100th anniversary a great success. They are doing an amazing job of decorating the hallways including honoring alumni from early days of the schools existence. All Students and faculty are being given a matching t-shirt to show solidarity in this amazing celebration.

East High was the first high school in Wichita. It was Wichita High School until North opened in 1931 and we became Wichita East High,

T-SHIRT ORDER

This is a call for anyone that wants a shirt. The shirts are the ones pictured above.

We have to have the ordered turned in by Monday the 18th. We will order some extras. We an also ship them to you for an additional $3 shipping charge. you can also contact Lynda [email protected]

PARADE

We need to know how many cars and approximate number of people that are going to be in the parade. This has to be turned in next week also to be registered to be in the parade. Please let us know.

FOOTBALL GAME

They have moved the game to 4:00 on Friday the 6th to East High stadium. They do not have lights at their stadium. They will be holding a tailgate party after the game

Debbie Frizzell - class of 1968 - is planning their 55th class reunion over the 100 reunion of East High School. It is an excellent time for all classes to get together. She has invited our class to join their Friday night activity at the Candle Club on October 6th. She hopes to have classes from 66-69 at the event that evening. I know we all know classmates from all different years. She will also have a hotel that will have rates for you to use if you decide to stay over. If you have questions about this event you can contact Debbie [email protected]. I will also keep in contact and have it on our monthly newsletter.
