An Update from 10 Hairy Legs on COVID-19
March 24, 2020

Dear Friend of 10HL,

We’re thinking of you during this challenging and unprecedented time in the world as we all struggle with the uncertainties of the current COVID19 pandemic. We genuinely wish you good health and a future filled with happiness, fulfillment and the joy of the communal experience of dance.

We are taking the opportunity to share with you how this is affecting our beloved 10HL, and how together we will ensure the company’s future.

Our Senior Staff, Executive Committee and full Board have been in frequent conversation (no in person meetings!) as things take place, and are fully committed to the sustainability of the company. We are hard at work actively making strategic decisions, seeking new board members and keeping abreast of funding opportunities made available due to the current circumstances.

All engagements for the remainder of the season through June 30 have been cancelled or postponed with the intention of rescheduling in the healthy future. As soon as things get going again, we plan to present to you our newly commissioned works, serve the educational community, and resume all other programs and services. Our artists have completed all work up until now and we look forward to reengaging them then.

Our Major Funding Partners have been exceptionally supportive and intend to continue to support our work moving forward. Thank you! We currently have enough funds and zero debt so that we can sustain operations and start up again with programs and activities as it is appropriate.

We are thrilled that through the generosity of a Founding Advisor, we have launched a Cash Reserve Fund and at this point do not need to withdraw any funds.

And, as we are all reinventing the way we work, we are providing remote dance learning to education partners.

Again, many thanks for all you do! We encourage you to be safe and vigilant.

Sincerely,
Carol Byrne
