Due to illness Leann Rimes has had to postpone her concert originally scheduled to play The Murphy this coming Saturday night, May 9. We now have her scheduled for Saturday, November 7. If you purchased tickets and can make the November 7 concert, just keep your tickets, they are still good for that date. However, if you purchased tickets and cannot attend we will provide you a full refund. Simply call the box office Tuesday between 2:00 and 6:00 or Wednesday through Friday, 10:30 to 5:30. We ask that you make every effort to request your refund by Friday, May 22 at 5:00 pm. Any tickets returns will be placed back on sale at a later date to be announced shortly after 5/22. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Madelyn Martin, graduating daughter of our Associate Director, Amanda Martin, is an outstanding artist. Here is your opportunity to help her continue to pursue a future in visual art by voting for her to advance in Johnny Depp's The People's Artist Competition. The winner will receive a cash prize, appear in Artforum Magazine, and have artwork displayed in The Art of Elysium's Salon in LA. You can view Maddie's profile clicking her photo above or here, and votes are much appreciated!
You can learn more about the People's Artist and The Art of Elysium's mission here.
Thank you!

And finally, in my most recent announcement, I erroneously reported that we were losing our Technical Director, Donnie Ratliff to the Ft. Wayne Jazz Ballet, as he takes the role of the supporting lead, one of the evil step-sisters, in their production of the ballet, Cinderella on Ice. Well, wouldn’t you know, some folks believed that report and were very concerned about Donnie’s potential departure.
To be honest, just as many were upset about Donnie leaving as they were about us needing to reschedule Leann’s concert. Well rest assured, Donnie is not leaving the Murphy Theatre for the Ft. Wayne Ballet. He’ll tell you it just didn’t work out, that he had a change of heart, but those in the know might tell you something different, as in it turns out the Ft. Wayne Ballet has a strict “No Emotional Support Dogs with the Dancers” policy. My apologies for causing such a stir.
