It’s been a while…so much to get to…
ELVIS is (sorta) BACK in the building
The evening everyone and their grandmother has been waiting for is finally here!
Mike Albert and The Big E Band return TONIGHT, Saturday, June 20, at 7:30 for a fundraising concert to benefit the Health Alliance of Clinton County and all their fine efforts in the community.
Nearly 500 screaming fans are on their way, some of them are women, so if you don't have your tickets yet, don’t wait much longer, especially don’t wait until Sunday.
Get your tickets here. Not here. Thank you, thank you very much.

Stars from NBC’s The Voice, coming to the Murphy
Country music stars, Muskogee Oklahoma’s Swon Brothers, make their long-awaited appearance on The Murphy Theatre stage on Saturday, June 27 at 7:30. Brothers Zach and Colton are packing venues from coast to coast with their covers of country music classics mixed in with plenty of their own original songs, including such hits as, "This Side of Heaven," "Pretty Beautiful," "Songs that Said it All," and "Pray For You." Great seats remain for this concert that was originally scheduled for back in March, but we’re so glad we were able to snag them for next weekend, and what a great Father’s Day gift idea, am I right? I didn’t come up with that on my own, we had a patron come in today and told us the tickets she was purchasing were for her Dad. That’s pretty cool.

HOT DOG, the Murphy Theatre is rocking July 24 after all!
What do you get when you bring the guitarist from Deborah Harry’s 70’s 80’s iconic rock band, Blondie, on stage with the former drummer from Breaking Benjamin, then add some of the most sought-after rock musicians in the country? You get Hot Dog Emergency, coming to rock The Murphy Theatre on Friday, July 24, at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are only $10.00, and we ask you to consider bringing a non-perishable food item, (or a five-dollar donation) that we can deliver to local food pantries. Thanks to your generosity with our small collection table sitting in the lobby over the past four-plus years, we have delivered more than one ton of food to help our neighbors in need. It all adds up, and it’s all because of you.
Food, Drinks, and Doors
We will have beer specials, plenty of hot dogs, award-wanting fresh popcorn, large hot pretzels, and Charlie’s Spiked Cider available for purchase. Doors open at 6:00 pm for the 7:30 concert. Bring a sweater because our air conditioning is super cool, or better yet, pick up a Murphy hoodie while you’re here.
*Our Hot Dog Emergency concert is not affiliated with Rock the Block. The Friday night Rock the Block concert featuring Dirty Deeds at the Murphy Theatre to benefit the Boyd Cancer Center was canceled by the Clinton County Convention and Visitors Bureau weeks ago. For details on that rescheduled appearance please contact the CCCVB, but for refunds for tickets you purchased for the Dirty Deeds concert before the CCCVB cancellation, contact us. We apologize for any confusion and inconvenience with their cancelling of the concert.

Grab your kids and escape the heat, for FREE!
Every Wednesday in July, and that’s five Wednesdays, we will be showing a family-friendly free matinee movie at 1:00. This is made possible by our friends from SFM Insurance, so we thank them once again for their generosity in making this happen. At our first Wednesday matinee we’ll be serving a Kid’s Kombo that will be paid for by our dear friend Lee. That is for the first Wednesday only. If there are any other generous peeps out there who would like to offer the same kind gesture on any of the other four remaining Wednesdays just let us know. A Kid’s Kombo consists of a small popcorn, a bottle of water or Bug Juice, and your choice of a candy or a hot dog. The cost of these for this first Wednesday in July are covered for the kids only please. Adults you have a job, you can pony up some cash for yours.
Here’s the movies...all on Wednesdays at 1:00, doors open at noon.
July 1, Kung Fu Panda
July 8, Zootopia
July 15, How to Train Your Dragon
July 22, The Princess and the Frog
July 29, Encanto
And don’t forget to bring a sweater, because just like SFM Insurance, and our good friend Lee, sometimes our air conditioning is overly generous.

It’s an afternoon of
Sugar Frosted Flicks!
Speaking of free movies, who doesn’t love The Princess Bride? And who doesn’t love sugary cereals that take us back to a simpler time, long before whole wheat, before protein, diabetes, obesity, and cavities…but enough about me.
Join us Saturday, July 11 as we host a fundraising event for our friends from Hope House, The Clinton County Homeless Shelter, and Sugartree Ministries. This is going to be a blast!
Doors open at 5:00 and the cereal and milk will be pouring, (the bar will be closed) and the movie The Princess Bride will roll at 6:00 pm. This is another free event for the community, but we do ask you to bring some cash to donate to our friends in need. We will be passing around some of the empty cereal boxes for you to stuff full of cash.
And while you’re reading his, send me a quick email with your top three favorite cereals from your youth, and none of that healthy stuff please!

It’s that time of year again, time to talk to baked goods!
We got your feedback, but we’re hosting another one anyway. Our next Coffee and Conversations with Donuts will be Saturday morning, July 18 at 9:30 am. Here’s a perfect opportunity to sit and chew the fat, or at least the donuts, and sip some cheap coffee with friends, and then ask us anything you want to know about the Murphy Theatre. We’ll discuss our latest, and current and our future projects, how we get some of our funding, and how we don’t, and how sometimes things on our calendar suddenly get canceled, all that good behind-the-scenes meat. It promises to be a fun-filled informational morning. Meet us in Charlie’s and bring your appetite, thirst, questions, and two friends. We look forward to sharing with you.
