News from the Re-Entry Task Force - - - November 8, 2020

We hope you have found our updates informative. The purpose has been to make you aware of the processes we use to evaluate the situation and let you know about any changes to the CBS Re-Entry plans.

Starting in May, the Re-Entry Task Force began meeting to plan the re-opening of CBS in all its facets. We considered re-opening the office, the Religious School, programming opportunities and services. Over the last six months much progress has been made.

  • The office was re-opened with protocols to allow you to visit without worrying about other people there at the same time and following social distancing guidelines.
  • We started Kabbalat Shabbat services in the parking lot, either sitting in our cars listening to the service through the car radio or sitting outside, again socially distanced.
  • Most recently, we re-opened the synagogue for in-person services for Friday and Saturday with limited attendance.

We will continue to expand our re-opening as conditions allow.

We have reached a point where there is less breaking news to report, so going forward, these updates will be sent out monthly rather than weekly. If there is any important information to report between updates, we will send out interim reports. The Task Force continues to meet weekly allowing for continual assessment of the situation.

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to reach out and contact the Re-Entry Task Force at ReEntrytaskforce@cbsclearwater.org
