11-09-20: New Sr. Medical Writer Opening! Rule of Three as it Applies to Pets
This personal story illustrates the staying power of the Rule of Three as a guiding principle at LH+A. My dear Sasha went to kitty heaven over a year ago. I knew that I would eventually get a new cat. Then my mother died and COVID hit. The process took longer than expected.

Two week ago, during acupuncture, I realized that the time was now. I put a notice up on the online community newsletter. The results were instantaneous. I was literally flooded with suggestions and offers of cats.

I decided to apply the Rule of Three that works so well with human candidates. First applicant was a beautiful cat who was very skittish, kept biting me and didn’t like to be petted. I reluctantly took a pass.

Second cat was living in a household with 2 children, ages 2 and 4. The kids were thrilled to play a bit too roughly with this cat. He was really mellow for a one year old and needed more time for R+R. After I initially held the shivering cat, he started to purr, a good sign! Candidate 2 was now in the lead. After more time together, and a new name, Caramel won. I honored my late mother’s cat who was also named Caramel. The coloring matched perfectly. Caramel is now a part of my household. All I needed were 2 applicants!

On this happy note, we also have a new Sr. Medical Writer (contract to permanent) virtual position. See details below.
