Head's Note
H
appy Veteran's Day! I want to take this opportunity to thank the Veterans in our community for all of their service to our country. At Crossroads, I am proud we have a special assembly to appreciate their many sacrifices for freedom around the world. Click here to view photos from the assembly, and here to view a special slideshow presentation our Middle School students created.
Later this week, I will be traveling to Amman, Jordan, to lead a New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) accreditation team at King's Academy. The school has quickly become a leader in independent school education in the Middle East, and I am looking forward to learning about their approaches to teaching and learning. As a Commissioner for NEASC, it is very rewarding to be involved in the work this organization completes both in New England and around the globe. I look forward to sharing what I learn upon my return.
Yours truly, Brad

Does Your Child Have a November Birthday?
Consider celebrating with your child by participating in the Birthday Book Club! By purchasing a book from the library's wishlist, your child may decorate a bookplate and take a photo with their book for our birthday book wall. Then, they can donate the book to the library's permanent collection.
Families with student birthdays in November will be contacted individually via email with more details on how to participate. Contact Librarian Amanda Brodsky for more information.

Learn to Speed Skate
Do you and/or your children like to skate? Do you enjoy watching exciting Winter Olympic sports? If so, we encourage you to try speedskating with the Upper Valley Speedskating Club (UVSC)! The club is run by Crossroads parents Dan Weinstein and Amelia Ihlo, who are excited to share the sport with our community.
The UVSC mission is to introduce the sport of speedskating to participants of all ages and abilities. As skaters progress, the club will support introduction to racing locally, regionally, and even nationally. If you are interested in joining or learning more, please email Dan Weinstein or Amelia Ihlo.

Way to go Crossroads!
We are getting closer to our goal, but we need EVERYONE to participate in order to reach 100%
Why is my participation in the Crossroads Fund important?
The tradition of giving at Crossroads is strong. At any level, participation to the Crossroads Fund demonstrates your commitment to our school and its continued success. Participation by our entire community speaks volumes, generates enthusiasm, encourages others to give generously, and sets an example of giving back for our students.
Help us meet our goal by January 1, 2020
