Give with Your Heart this #GivingTuesday
Mark your calendars... the countdown for #GivingTuesday begins!
November 29, 2022

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea:
a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Join the movement and give – each Tuesday and every day – whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community.
The Marine Mammal Stranding Center has responded to 5,867 animals in distress since opening in 1978. In 2022 alone, the MMSC responded to 50 seals who found themselves in need of help due to illness, injury, or disturbance from humans. For each seal that is admitted to our hospital for rehabilitation, the cost of food, medication, and veterinary care averages $3,000 per seal.

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center is a nonprofit organization, and we rely solely on donations, grants, and gift shop sales to fund our rescue operations. We rely on supporters like YOU to help us help them.
How can YOU help a seal this #GivingTuesday

1- Save the date! #GivingTuesday is November 29th, 2022.

2- Spread the word! Share our posts with your friends and let them know why YOU support MMSC.

3- Make an early donation! We get it, life is super busy this time of year, which is why all of our donation options are open now to save you time.

or head over to our Facebook next week for our Facebook Fundraiser!

Remember that EVERY donation makes a big difference, no matter the size. With your help and generosity, we are confident that we can reach our goal this season of giving. TOGETHER we can make a difference for stranded marine mammals and sea turtles!

Sponsor Trivia
Seals have great underwater vision. Their eyes are adapted with round lenses like a fish and an iris that can open fully underwater. Seal eyes are also adapted for low-light vision, like that of a cat.
