Maximize the Potential!

Dear Friend of CCSD93,

Messages From

Superintendent Hill:

Today was the final day of the 1st trimester, and we are officially 1/3rd of the way through the school year. Kindergarten through 8th grade student report cards will be posted to TeacherEase for parents to log in and review next Friday, November 22 in the afternoon. Parents will receive text and email notifications when they’re ready. As a reminder, no paper report card will be sent home.

If you haven’t logged into TeacherEase in a while, you may do so using the same credentials you used to register your child for this school year. CCSD93 recommends downloading the TeacherEase app from your app store, but you can also log into www.teacherease.com from your mobile device or desktop. We encourage you not only to log in to view report cards, but to do so consistently throughout the school year to track your child’s progress.

CCSD93 uses standards-based grading to assess student progress. If you’d like to know more about it, please visit www.ccsd93.com/SBG to review a number of resources we have compiled for parents on standards-based grading

Thank You, Board Members!

Friday, November 15, is School Board Members Day in Illinois, and it’s a perfect opportunity to recognize and thank CCSD93’s School Board members for their unwavering dedication to the children in our community.

As unpaid elected officials, these individuals selflessly devote countless hours throughout the year to govern CCSD93 effectively. From preparing for and attending School Board meetings to engaging in committee work, they tackle vital responsibilities like shaping policies, approving budgets and curricula, evaluating programs, and setting the school year calendar. They consistently make challenging decisions with the interests of students, families, and the broader community at heart.

Each Board member brings a unique perspective, united by a shared commitment to putting students first while carefully managing community resources. Their work profoundly impacts our schools and students' futures. Please join me in expressing heartfelt gratitude to CCSD93’s School Board members for their invaluable service!

Parents Invited to Schools for American Ed. Week Special Events 11/18-11/22

Next week is American Education Week, a time when we highlight public education. To celebrate, parents and guardians are being invited into all of our schools for a variety of events and activities. Parents, please watch for more information from your child’s principal about your school’s opportunities!

You're Invited to Donate to Personal Hygiene Product Drive Through 11/26

Throughout CCSD93, we’re helping our local communities restock essential resources for families in need this holiday season. All CCSD93 schools and its District Office are serving as drop off points through Tuesday, November 26. Many of our schools have a unique twist to the collections with themed incentive days, grade level competitions and more.

If you’re able, I ask that you please consider contributing any of the items listed here by November 26 to your child’s school.

Middle School Band Fantastic Fall Concerts!

Congratulations to students in CCSD93’s band program from both Jay Stream and Stratford who recently delivered outstanding performances at their fall concerts! As they continue to grow their skills, they’re already busy learning music for their winter concerts in February.

Up next are CCSD93’s elementary orchestra students, who will be playing Wednesday, November 20 and Thursday, November 21. Mark your calendars!

ECC Students Participate in Baby Doll Circle Time

ECC students have been participating in “Baby Doll Circle Time,” engaging in caregiving routines with baby dolls, like feeding, hugging and comforting. This interactive experience helps our littlest learners develop emotional vocabulary--along with coping and problem-solving skills--in a positive, supportive environment, while practicing and better understanding empathy, connection and self-regulation. Ultimately, this research-based approach will aid our preschoolers in their development of social skills and secure relationships.

WT Veterans Day Salute

On Monday, Western Trails 5th graders honored the spirit of those who have served with a Veterans Day Assembly for parents and local community leaders, featuring patriotic songs and a meaningful story! Last Friday, the students presented the same program for their peers, helping to illustrate the sacrifices made by our nation's veterans, active-duty service members, and military families. Happy Veterans Day to all who have served and continue to serve!

You're Invited to Attend Free Parent Programs

CCSD93’s partners at Glenbard Parent Series (GPS) provide terrific, free programming for today's parents. Even though it has Glenbard in the title, all CCSD93 families are invited to attend GPS events. Many are available to attend in person or stream online.

This year, GPS is offering an incredible slate of speakers. You're invited to attend the upcoming parent programs below. Mark your calendar and visit www.glenbardgps.org for more.
